NWBL Week 2-

Lucky to come upon a Baltimore Lizards team that hasn't yet reached full strength. Our players were lucky to break through the Saurus armor very consistently throughout the first half, and it looked like it might've been a route, but for them taking out our Troll, Mogg. We didn't see him for the rest of the game and it meant a lot not having him in the middle to gum things up.

First half our opponent met us in the middle and we bashed until he took the ball up the sideline. Luckily, we were able to cut them off and get the carrier down with the ball going to the crowd and they practically handed it to our guys. We made our way up the field and their skinks were able find some extra effort and made an athletic dive into our side cage sending our carrier into the crowd. The crowd responded in kind practically handing it back to Baltimore, and they were able to run it in for an easy score.

Luckily we were able to counter score with the kick being a touch back. We gave it to our tightest goblin to the LOS and he managed to get within scoring range. The opponent had shots to shut him down, but luckily for us his Saurus needed to go a bit too far and stumbled before he could reach us.

Second half was more madness. We failed a pick up and were swarmed by lizards. A mad dash for the ball ensued with both sides throwing easy blocks but failing in the process. We were finally able to stabilize, get a hold of the ball, and run it in, but the Lizards trailed us relentlessly into the endzone. His skinks especially were as agile as I've seen.

The team is progressing, but the Black Orcs themselves are lagging behind. This should've been a match to generate some experience for the our bigs, but it wasn't meant to be. We have trained up a Goblin in the art of fouling which should help moving forward. Next round we're set to play a Skaven team with a skilled gutter runner. Excited to see what that challenge brings, and hopeful our bigs can get more experience getting players off the pitch.
