Starting Rosters
Starting with all your positionals means you can only afford 2 Re-rolls which is risky, especially as the team lacks Block, Wrestle and Dodge. But starting with all your positionals means skilling up the important players will be quicker, and the Foo Staute should be able to hold up a number of players at a time. This starting roster is for the experienced coach only and re-roll management is key.
Because the team lacks basic starter skills like Block and Dodge, 3 re-rolls is probably sensible. To achieve this 2 Monkey Warriors have been dropped for Linemen, this does lower the average Ma of the team a little and also means you lose out on some ball sacking abilities in Prehensile Tail. But the increased average Av of the team is possibly advantageous early on in the teams development and you still start with the Foo Statue and 4 Celestial Dragon monks who are your most important players.
This is similar to variation 2, but instead of dropping 2 monkey warriors you drop one Celestial Dragon Monk. As these are your most important players and probably the positional you want to skill up first this is risky. However the 3 re-rolls you start with are very important and starting with 4 Monkey Warriors makes the team a lot more mobile.
