Slann are... different.
Do not look at Leap as a solution to your general position problems - with most of the team having Leap at 3+, Leap is unreliable as a general team habit, can (and will!) burn through RR's and end Turns, and usually should be saved for key moments, game changers, or desperation, rather than multiple players every turn.
Blitzers or Catchers?
Catchers are your Ag 4 players, and the only ones that can leap on 2+. But with St 2 and only AV 7, they are much more fragile than your other players, and need to be protected - they do not survive well running downfield solo and "hoping for the best", especially not rookie Catchers without any defensive skills.
Blitzers start with no typical "Blitzer" skills. Their starting skills can be built upon - but that takes time, and that means scoring with them rather than your Catchers (when you can).
Opinions differ widely whether you should start with more Blitzers or more Catchers - whether mass scoring threat or protecting what you do have is better early, and whether skilling up one or the other first is better in the long run. And that can also change depending whether you're choosing a starting roster for a quick tournament or a long-term League (or a Ranked or Box team). Ymmv, consider the different options.
The Krox
Likewise, opinions differ on the addition of this Big Guy to the team, whether he's worth the TV or not, whether he fits with the general game play. Just so you understand that not everyone agrees that you have to have him to have a complete roster.
Selecting only 1 Blitzer is risky because AV 8 is not strong - lose that one, and it's just Linemen and your Catcher(s). Make sure you keep him safe and get him some skills quickly. 4 RR are needed to make Slann effective at what they do best - leaping. 10k left over toward an Apothecary asap.
Blitzers might be expensive, but they are also insanely good at times, especially after some development. You can't afford not to start with them. Besides, you don't really need four Catchers yet, as long as you make sure your Catchers don't get hit. And that's what those Blitzers are for!
This is a long-term roster, designed to groom 4 skilled Blitzers who can then protect your Catchers. You don't really want more than 1 Catcher to start, because it's pointless to try to use one rookie Catcher to protect another, and difficult to protect them both.
Use your one Catcher as your initial ballhandler, who can hand-off or (Quick-)Pass to your Blitzers for the score. Once your 2 Blitzers have 2 skills each, get your 3rd Blitzer and score with him, and when he has 2 skills repeat with Blitzer #4.
Once you have 4 skilled Blitzers (and your Catcher will probably have some skills too), then you start taking additional Catchers, and using them downfield. Krox optional, but a late buy either way.
Option: Drop a Blitzer and take an Apo to start, just in case. No-skill frogs tend to get hurt faster than other AV 8 teams - they just do.
Catchers are what help you win games at low TV and Blitzers are awfully pricey, especially since you need at least four Re-Rolls to make a Slann team properly reliable. So, why not invest in four Catchers, the Re-Rolls to back them up and finally add in a 12th frog since Slann are so fragile!
(Option: Catchers are your big targets, fragile, and not cheap to replace, so start with an Apo instead of 12th player to guard against injured Catchers. )
The Kroxigor is such a good Big Guy and such a magnet to draw the punches of the opposing team, that it would be a shame not to have him around. Ideally, the Kroxigor attracts the attention of the main crowd with the help of some Linemen and your Catchers take care of the rest.
(Consider also taking fewer Catchers, protect them better with more Linemen, and have money for an Apo sooner.)
You want to be able to use all those Leap skills so take the RR to make them work.
Catchers are your stars so buy as many of them as you can afford: they will get the ball, pass it to each other and score: you need at least one to get the ball and pass and another to receive, the third is valuable insurance or a distraction.
Linefrogs will get the rest of the job done.
Blitzers are a luxury: you'll want some eventually because they can take so many skills your other players can't but they are very expensive for what they bring to a young team.
Option: Replace 1 Catcher with 1 Blitzer and a team total of 1,000k.
