Team:
First of all: Pygmies rule! ;-)
Pygmies have a bunch of positional players, which makes them interesting to play. But all special players lack on Dodge, what makes them even more fragile then other Stunties. Does not sound fair combined with AV6, but it's not that dramatic. On the first look this race is very slow. Your masses have MA4, some MA3 and MA5 on 2 special positions also aren't much. But MA7 players and especially 2 Big Guys with huge range.
How to play 'em:
As most other races pygmies are not a passing team. Even the Kroxigors cannot TTM. Therefor, you can take a good bashy fight. Like usual, hunt other Stunies with Big Guys and place them next to Stunties. Foul! Foul with your useless Pygmies! Foul! They will leave the field anyway, so why not taking an opponent with them, even if the Ref spots a foul. Do not bring your Eagles into big trouble. These guys are too imortent to send them unprotected in the offence. Keep them deep and strike forward when you broke a hole with your front-line. Take care about other Big Guys. Best to do, bind them with your Alligators. Your Jaguars are target No1 in opponents eyes. Most of the time they try to hunt them and foul them. Take an eye on it, they are expensive players without Dodge! As for the Eagles, don't bring them into big trouble. Use the pygmies as living shields to protect your Eagles and Jaguars.
Hm, did I miss something... oh yes(!) FOUL!!!
Positions:
Kroxigor: Some of the very best Big Guys you can get for Stunty. With MA6 they are perfect Stunty-Hunters. Prehesile Tail is just great to bind Stunties at your Big Guys. AV9 means you can place them towards other Big Guys to bind them not hunting your little 'stars'; but this is risky. If they are getting knocked down, they will be gang-fouled!!!
Skills: Block, Tackle, Pro, Multiple Block (as for all Big Guys so far), Break Tackle, Shadowing, Guard
Traits: Stand Firm, Frenzy
Eagle: Your key players besides the Kroxigors. These guys are perfect ball carriers and play an importent roll in defence. As the other special positions they lack on Dodge, but, don't worry, they will get it soon. Therefor they start with Leap. Do not underestimate it, even on AG3. It's very helpful when placed next to a player with Diving Tackle. Spare a RR for the leap-action and it'll work most of the time.
Skills: Dodge(!), Sure Feet, Side Step, Sprint
Traits: Block, Strip Ball
Jaguar: Claw sounds mighty in a world of Stunties, but it's not as good as RSC. Jaguars can used to be the basher next to your Kroxigors. Try to use them not at your front line, 'cause there will be other Big Guys hunting them or they will taste how it is to be fouled to death. MA5 and Shadowing is just great and makes them good in defence. Also, you can use them as a scorer and take the preassure from your Eagles.
Skills: Dodge(!), Side Step, Diving Tackle, Catch
Traits: Block, Tackle
Alligator: Slow, slow, slow. They are scapegoats and perfect for LOS, doesn't matter if you attack or defend. With AV8 and Thick Skull they can hold the line even against some crazy Big Guys. Place them at a Big Guy and bind them. In this way you can protect your more fragil players from being killed and getting outnumbered.
Skills: Dodge, Side Step, Sure Feet, Diving Tackle
Traits: Block, Jump Up
Pygmy: MA4 and Shadowing doesn't sound like a good combo and, indeed, It's not. It'll rarely work, but it is a little gimmick and nerves the opponent ;). With 40k they are quite expensive for 4236 with a nearly useless skill (compared to Halflings 30k 5236 with no extra skill, but +1MA). At least they have the Dodge-skill. Low AV and MA won't let them get much SPP's before their time has come. Just buy them and let them die, that is their only job.
Skills: Side Step, Diving Tackle, Sure Feet
Traits: Dirty Player, Block
