Famous Teams
Sotek's Word, first mentioned in Blood Bowl magazine 1, Tlanxla Tackler and Sotek Vipers, both of which were first mentioned in Spike Issue 7 2019
Background
Skink teams have been playing the game since the collapse of the NAF, though only recently have their teams being playing further afield than Lustria. The Skink teams played in a Lizardmen and Skink leagues and played a version of Blood Bowl known as Jungle Bowl; basically the same as Blood Bowl though the local flora had a far greater influence on a games proceedings; it wasn’t uncommon for plants to eat the ball or even a Skink or two in the course of a game.
Jungle Bowl grew in popularity, first Slann, then Amazon and Norse teams all joined in the league, later teams from the Old World travelled across the ocean to play in this unique environment. With each new challenger the Skinks showed they could mix it with the biggest teams in the sport. It didn’t take long before sponsorship deals were offered and the Skinks starter travelling further afield themselves playing in some of the great stadia of the Old World.
Rationale
Kroxigors and Skinks are both kept the same as in the lizardmen team, though Kroxigors lose Loner because I personally feel Stunty teams Big Guys should not have this negative, a precedent set by Halflings.
The only new player to add was the Chameleon Skink. The reason these are included is because they are specifically mentioned in official Blood Bowl fluff. They appear in one of the BB Magazines. The article describes them as being very hard to see or hit because their camouflage ability. Because of this I wanted them to be more agile than normal Skinks but Ag4 would have been too much, making them Titchy gives them the boost needed but also gives them some negatives as well. Although in the Warhammer world they are not technically Titchy I felt that the Blood Bowl World being slightly different in many ways gave enough license to make this very small change and as such they are also St1. Shadowing was given to them again to support the existing fluff in the BB Magazine, of basically invisible players who can stalk opposition players and trip them up. I also wanted them to be very hard to hit although they are St1 which is a big negative giving them Wrestle also felt fitting and gave them a nice defensive quality. The Chameleon Skink was also in the Blood Bowl Catalogue 2003 which further supports their existence in this world.
Season 2 (2020 Edition) Changes
Removed Pa from Kroxigor, and gave Pa stats to other players in line with the core rules.
