Undead Pirates Starting Roster & Tactics

Starting Rosters

Variation 1

  • 6 Zombies
  • 2 Skeleton Pirates
  • 1 Syreen
  • 1 Zombie Ogre
  • 1 Vampire Lord
  • 3 Re-rolls
  • Total = 1000k

3 Re-rolls is solid to start and you have 1 Big Guys and 2 Stab none of which you need re-rolls for. The Lord is a must as he is a one man team, though very unreliable. The Syreen is useful to have and adds some much needed Ma to the team, though keep her safe as she is very fragile.

Variation 2

  • 7 Zombies
  • 1 Skeleton Pirate
  • 2 Zombie Ogres
  • 1 Vampire Lord
  • 3 Re-rolls
  • Total = 990k

Get all your ST5 goodness up front. Advantages are that you add ST and have 2 MB players right from the start. Unfortunately these guys come with nega-trait Bone-Head and you will lack a reliable ball carrier. Some coaches solve that by using the one man army, the Vampire Lord, and blitz with the ball. Your mileage may vary as his starting stats do not come with block. 3 re-rolls to start will help with the line fodder not turning over as frequently, but you are still choosing to roll with a Wild Animal ball carrier.

Variation 3

  • 8 Zombies
  • 1 Skeleton Pirate
  • 1 Syreen
  • 1 Zombie Ogre
  • 1 Vampire Lord
  • 3 Re-rolls
  • Total = 1000k

If you like to drop the boot early you could go for a 12 man lineup and sacrifice a stabby Skeleton Pirate. Still get 3 Re-rolls, an Ogre, the Vampire Lord which is the star of the team, and a Syreen to handle the ball with the added bonus of not necessarily having to play the Syreen on defense before the Syreen acquires defensive skills.
