Team Colours Hmmmmm Grey and......transparent!
***Did you know***
It has recently come to our attention that there is a team with a shocking statistic. A Dark Elf team that hasn't won a game in 30 years!!! Surely this is impossible for arguably the most talented race in Blood Bowl? However apparently it is true.
Does this make them famous? Well partly, but only because they've been stuck in the same match against the Frozen Phantoms for all that time. Back in 2476 'the Arrows' took to the pitch against the Phantoms following a three day effort to get 90,000 frenzied Arrows fans into a cave barely large enough for the pitch alone. The game started with the usual problem for the no hope, completely ethereal Phantoms - they couldn't touch the ball......(yes, we don't know why they bother either, but hey why do Snotlings?)
However with a plan that may have (or not) been well conceived, the Frozen Phantoms' spell casting coach reputedly made the referee, all the Arrow players and all their fans ethereal as well! Thus far, no-one has scored, no-one has been hurt, no-one has even made contact with anyone else... The ball deflated after the first year. And, despite his best efforts, the referee has yet to blow his whistle to end the game.
Of course this is the record for the longest running match in Blood Bowl, however did you know that may be all about to end? If the rumours are true, the spell on the White Bay Arrows maybe wearing off. Yes, the Arrows are starting to feel a little bit more like their old selves again, and reports suggest that they have managed to shift the ball 2 or 3mm! Other reports however suggest that it could have been gusts of tunnel wind caused by flatulent Cave Trolls!
However, the Arrows aren't being put off, and have already penned (ok, strictly speaking they can't hold pens just yet) a 14 game touring deal (with a 'will not play against any Undead team with a spellcaster' clause).
Apparently, when the Arrows coach broke the news at the annual anniversary party. His opposite number from the Phantoms took the news very badly. After all, this is the closest match the Phantoms have had since...........well ever! How will the 'new look' Arrows do? Well only time will tell, however they're definitely a team to go and see........when they become a little less transparent that is!

Skills
Skills and allocations are as normal Dark Elf teams, but all White Bay Arrow players come with foul appearance. This is to replicate that they aren't yet full...........well..........they just aren't that solid yet and they are still a little bit ethereal! This means they aren't that easy to block, and blocking them on occasions can be futile.
Special Rules
White Bay Arrow players may never take the sure hands or catch skills. Simply hands you can see through just aren't that sure! Therefore any skill that aids ball handling, cannot be taken by regular Whitebay Arrow players.
New positionals
Although they have a large squad (mostly made up of White Bay Arrows fans, who have the same disability ermmmm are of the same disposition), you can never quite tell whether they're on a 'bad day' or not and couldn't hold ball as much as hold down a snotling pie. To represent this, when buying a positional roll a d6. On a 1-3 there simply isn't one available at the moment (not one you can see anyway!), you'll have to make do with a lineman. On a roll of 4-6, there's one just about solid enough, snap him up before he disappears again!
Journey Men
If you use Journey Men, they do not come from White Bay Arrow stock (e.g. they are not fans inflicted with the same problem or from their reserves/promises lists). Therefore they do not come with Foul Appearance. They also cost 70TV instead of 80TV.
Also if you decide to hire said Journey Man he remains a 'normal' Dark Elf Lineman (costing 70k). He does not and will not get Foul Appearance, but he may take catch or sure hands. However he will suffer from 'animosity' as the his spooky team mates freak him out a bit!
You may still hire 'WAB' ethereal linemen in a normal way, as long as they haven't played as a Journey Man.
Important Note
This team maybe immensely frustrating to play against; in that the icons maybe barely visible. This is intentional, and mistakes caused due to 'partially ethereal icons' should be viewed as part of the roster's play style.
However, if the coaches have the option to choose the pitch they play on, deliberately choosing a pitch that makes the Whitebay Arrows players more difficult to pick out than a regular pitch is not allowed.
