Basic principle: Buy RR's at the startup of a team, since they are twice the price after your first game.
A treeman is a good choice to start with, its perfect for the LOS with his av10 and st6. This way your linemen will take less punches and live longer.
Wardancers are great! With blodge from the start, you can easily skill them up in your first games. But make sure you skill your linemen too, they are just as important.
Run bloody fast! 4 catchers will ensure you have some great sprinting potential. But starting with 4 st2 players is risky.
2 catchers means that scoring shouldn't be a problem, and as long as you can develop your linos before you buy a reroll and the wardancer you should have an effective team.
Without re-rolls this seems like a risky setup, but i've found that a starter woodelf team has all the important skill re-rolls you need to get you through the first few games.
Make sure you work on you thrower from the start to get that all important surehands re-roll straight away.
Wardancers are the games super blitzers, take advantage of their dodge re-roll in the early stages and leap is still viable even without a re-roll (trust me)
The catchers also provide the important catch re-roll in the early stages giving you the most effective passing play in the game.
Make sure you pick up an apothecary asap, followed by a re-roll or two, then a treeman to keep casualties on the line of scrimmage to a minimum.
startrek.nl Treeman is nice for LOS as it won't die easily. Starting with a wardancer helps you win your first couple of games. Rijssiej
Run Away
Woodies are fast and weakly armored, therefore, run away! 3 dodge players means you wont be burning the single rr too quickly, thats used for Wardancer super bltizes, knock the ball loose and run away. This is sort of a half measure for the Variation 6 experienced coach setup (JockMcRowdy?)
