I think it would be a good idea to offer a few annual awards voted for by the people for the people.
I'm thinking of awards for people who make the community what it is by contributing fluff, tournaments write ups etc.
I think there should be afew catagories and some sort of prize like a healing potion given out annualy.
What do people think to this?
Ideas for catagories
* Best fluff on a team
* Most fun opponent
* Best match reports
Im thinking you cant nominate yourself and we could have a shortlist of 5 or so and then people could vote.

i like the idea, but the prize would be interesting.
Maybe a write up in the next issue of the GLT maybe? |

I'd like to see a nomination process and voting, with the results as a GLT article. I think that would work out better than a GLT editor/contributor coming up with the winners.
My quick picks:
*Fluff (to me, it's team concept, logo, bio, player-names, even the play-style in context. I don't have time to read bios for all my opponents' players)
Lizards of Yumtum Mountain
Hellbound Charioteers
Mice in Black
*Most Fun Opponent (very subjective, not sure how much consensus we'll get)
I'd list half my frequent opponents. I'm no good at this one.
*Best Match Reports (I miss the nice links to these on the homepage)

I like the idea of annual awards. We can even make pythrr wear his tuxedo t-shirt.
Award suggestions:
Life Time Achievement - obviously the first one goes to big C!
Coach of the Year - It's bad form to nominate myself so, we'll have to vote... 
Outstanding Contribution to FUMBBL - easy pick for the first annual awards, thanks new client developer! 
Forum Post of the Year -
The Spoony Bard Award - given to the craziest, yet useful in some odd way, player build of the year. |

Sounds like there is a bit of interest in this. Perhaps the GLN Staff can come up with some catagories and ask for nominations to be voted on in the next issue |
