I'm trying to create a new team but it won't let me select academy as the league for it to play in and i don't want to create a team for any of the more competitive leagues as i've just signed up.

Is that normal? If so then what should i be doing? If it's not normal then do you know how to fix it?

Yes, it's normal, nothing to worry about, Academy is a defunct division. The best choice as a rookie is to make a team in League and join the 145 Club: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=2922
On the other hand, it's easier to get a game with a team in Ranked using the gamefinder. Just avoid Blackbox until you're a bit more confident.

Stunty Leeg is awesome. A word of warning on Stunty...

1. Be prepared to have a LOT of dead and maimed players
2. Be prepared for absolute mayhem.
3. Embrace 1 & 2 and it is awesome.

Does seem like a lot of fun but seeing as all the teams are majority madey uppy it may take me a few hours to even decide on what team to play let alone putting a team together i think would work well XD

Dont plan on them working well

Plan on it all going wrong in stunty, because it does most of the time
my squigs hurt more of my own hearders than the other team haha

Planning in Stunty is bad, very bad. Pick the theme of team you like the best and make a team. Put them on the field and watch them kill and die.

And play pythrr, he needs some love. Smile

haha well that's more what i meant by planning to do well haha. I meant more finding a team i'd enjoy watching burn and die most of the time XD I would pick skinks but i enjoy using pure skinks in the big leagues Razz So would like to try something different. Just looking through all the different teams in stunty will take a while Razz

I now have a Strigoyan team called 'suckers with a sweet tooth' and they are so named because of the captain Count Von Bonbon and his love of naming the thrallings after cakes. Sufficiently amusing theme for a simple for funsies team. I mean if i'm to take any team into a fun league like stunty i might as well make it as unpredictable as possible.

I know this guy (a bit) he's not brand new, just new here. Stunty is a side attraction (fun but just that).

The main action is in the ranked (or blackbox if you're kinky) division. Make a team and jump in there.

League is for player run groups. As said the group for new players and less skillful coaches is the excellent 145 club. You'll find more groups under the 'group' button.

However you'll need to make a ranked team to get games regular games.
