Brumbas celebrates his comeback with touchdown and win

In the first match after his miraculous recovery, Brumbas scored the third touchdown of his long career, thereby becoming #6 active and #7 all-time rushing dwarven blocker.
In the same match his teammate Grimbald made his 9th completion, his 5th touchdown and caused two casualties. The Monsters won the game against "Black don't crack" sovereignly with 2-0 and presented themselves in top form, ready for their upcoming 150th match and this year's Grotty Little Tournament. Watch out!

Monsters win Scheduled SMACK semi-final!

The outcome of an exciting match was unsure until almost the last seconds of overtime, when Rhoda walked in the second and winning touchdown against Sparklehunters.

In only the second tournament finals they ever got into, the Monsters will either face GLT and UI winner Fleetfoot's Revenge I (orcs coached by Malmir) or double Scheduled SMACK winner Wedding cabbage for everyone (dwarves coached by vaclav). Either way, it's going to be a tough match. Stay tuned!

Multiple anniversary match

In the late match against Penat, not only did the teams celebrate the lizarmen's 100th game. It was also the 100th time Rhoda and Grimbald entered the pitch (and left it almost healthy as well).
Rhoda: "It's not an easy achievement these days, with claw guys running around everywhere. I'm rather proud I have been able to make it that far without a scratch really!"

At the same time, Zak was able to play his 60th game and Brumbas his 140th. Chef Frorin announced a "little celebration event" as soon as Grimbald and Ambo are back on their feet.

Grimbald sets new record

Two games ago, Grimbald was able to complete his 10th pass, thereby becoming the first longbeard to ever achieve this in the Ranked and the Blackbox division.
Coach Rabe: "It's yet another milestone for him and for the Monsters. It proves the superiority of our balling game. Actually, it made that match a win - even though we lost and missed the chance on winning tournament... I salute Grimbald!"
The only other dwarven blocker known to do such an impressive passing play is Jamie and the magic torch, a player admired by many Agility Monsters' players and fans.

Grimbald took it lightly: "It was about time", he stated. "My goal for the next 100 matches is to become #1 scorer - shouldn't be that hard."

Agility Monsters play in their 4th FUMBBL Cup

The Monsters' opening match against the unexperienced human team Pirates du Reik will most likely take place at one of Altdorf's smaller pitches on Thursday the 17th, 21:00 bbtime. Due to the unfavorable location, insiders advice fans to grab tickets soon. As always, quite a big crowd has to be expected.

Previous Cup appearances by the Monsters:
In FUMBBL Cup IX they lost their first tournament match ever against chaos dwarves Yid Army.
FUMBBL Cup X saw them losing to Vincere aut Putrescere, Blackbox Nurgle veterans, with the two original members Nomril and Ramnah leaving the team afterwards.
Last year, in FUMBBL Cup XI, they faced chaos dwarves again, this time Käpymetsän kääpiöt from the Blackbox. Another loss with two dead and one crippled player on the Monsters' side.

Head Coach Rabe: "We totally expect a better result this season. Our goal is to win this thing."

Agility Monsters prepare for the FUMBBL Cup

Beers, cheers and the occasional training session: The Monsters are using their spare time until their first match for a thorough warm-up. The team is in good spirits and health. Thanks to the late first match, Ambo was able to recover from a serious injury, ready to do the "Ungor's Dance" (named after past Monsters player Ungor Flintstone). "All set and ready!" seems to be his favorite statement these days.
According to apothecary Silverstaff, Arzak will sadly miss this match.

Runner Bingi Greasearmor went into extensive throwing training with former Monsters star and multiple passing record holder Aegil Ironbones. He took a break from his work at the Altdorf Museum: "I rarely have the chance to spend as much time with the guys and girls as I do right now. It's rather refreshing and I'll certainly be there to cheer every game they play! Their passing game has become a little rusty though - I help out with training and do feel appreciated for it. It's nice to have some friendly banter with K'azz again and young Bingi really shows some talent. I say: It's all set for a glorious FUMBBL Cup! Go, Monsters!"

Survey proves large fan base - Monsters give away season tickets

Over 70 FUMBBL coaches have declared themselves fans of the Agility Monsters in an anonymous poll, 39 fans are known by name, either from the survey or the fan group - or both. The fan group lists 29 coaches by this time, with several new members having joined during the time of the survey.

As a thank-you gift, the Monsters have decided to give away six free season tickets for 2514 and the rest of the remaining season. Three will be raffled amongst those coaches who declared themselves fans in the survey and another three amongst all fan club members. No winner can receive more than one ticket.
The draw will be made ahead on Thursday's FUMBBL Cup match in public.

Monsters advance to round 3 of the FUMBBL Cup

For the first time the Monsters won their opening match in a FUMBBL Cup. A clear 2-0 victory over the inexperienced and overwhelmed Pirates du Reik. Neither Morg 'n' Thorg nor Mighty Zug could save the game. The ogre legend almost killed Zak though - but team apothecary Silverstaff is optimistic about his future: The troll slayer and ball hawk should be back at full health for round 4.

Negotiations on a date for round 3 match against lizardmen team Chilam Balam are underway.

FUMBBL Cup match scheduled for today

On very short notice teams, management and coaches have been informed that the next FUMBBL Cup match against the lizardmen of Chilam Balam has to be played on Thursday the 22nd, as early as 09:30 bbtime. Location is the Schwertmann Hall, also known as "the little one" among Altdorf's stadiums.

Last match the reasonably bigger location almost couldn't hold the over 30 coaches and 15,000 fans that had come to watch the spectacle. Morg 'n' Thorg and Mighty Zug also gave a sniff at it.

While the management has filed a complaint to the FC headquarters and some hope for a last minute adjournment, the team is preparing for the game in a late night session.
Grimbald: "It's all settled. Another game of skink hunting. After more than ten games against lizardmen, I have the knack of it."

Rumor has it, that once more some well-known stars will show up to play against the Monsters.

Altdorf Book & Casino suggests the Monsters as survivor pick

In round 2 of the famous Altdorf Book & Casino's Survivor Challenge, the Monsters are one of eight teams that can be picked as winner of their match. Being right let's the picked advance to the next round.

For those who are still in and haven't made their choice yet, now, right before the match will be played, is the last chance to promote the Monsters in this betting competition.

Brumbas celebrates his 150th match

150 game is a number the majority of teams never play, let alone single players. Agility Monsters veteran Brumbas Soildigger did reach this remarkable game count with the Monsters' latest match against Pig Sty Alley though. No dwarf in the Ranked division has ever played more games (at least of those teams who moved on into the CRP era).

As last original team member actively involved with the Monsters, he has seen it all: unexpected wins in tournaments, one-turn touchdowns, astonishing elfball actions, winning streaks. But also far more losses than wins and dozens of dead Monsters spilling the pitches with blood, many of them his friends. He himself got injured badly enough to miss a game 16 times and carried more than just a few scars until he received the rare blessing of a magical healing.

Brumbas got several interview requests before and after his 150th match, but he gently turned down all of them. "It really ain't much", he said to the Newsflash editorial team. "I've been lucky, that's all. Well, my sincere and humble respect for Nuffle's work might have helped. And that healing potion." (snickers) "I can only hope it all lasts for awhile. I want to see the team winning a tournament before I retire!"

Many congratulations, Brumbas!

20 Casualties (0.13 per game, 1 casualty in 300 blocks)

Past journeymen team up to challenge the Monsters

Yet another team is rising from the shadows of the famous Agility Monsters: The "Graceful Ballers" are a dwarf team composed only of longbeards who at some point in the past played for the Monsters as journeymen - and have not been hired afterwards. The band is led by Evander Vilefire, the journeyman who killed an elf lineman and crippled another one in what was supposed to be a friendly match against Elves Learn Fighting (Newsflash report on the incident).

Vilefire, full of moral outrage: "The Monsters said I was no dwelfball material, hell, all of us were not! Tell me, how should we have proven it?! Did someone give us the BALL at any point of the game? Did they include us in their fancy balling? Why do you think NONE of us has a single rushing yard on his chart?! Yeah, right. They denied us the chance and told us it was OUR fault!! Now we will show them!!! Game on!!!!"

We will follow the teams efforts closely. Good luck!

It's my plan, even though I'll wait until before the kick off to decide, depending on my workload by that time.

Reaching 150 games is epic. Reaching it without making legend is special. =)
