Hi All - I'm a longtime TT player, but completely new to FUMBBL (2 games).
Please tell me how I move and pass in the same action.
Do I first select the Pass Action or the Move Action?
And then what? (I'm only using the mouse for now).
Thanks for your help |

Select the pass action then move the pointer to a empty square within movement range of the thrower, you'll see movement squares there. If you move mouse out of range, these squares won't show up. If you mouse over a player, the indicator will change to your passing ruler, with a number on it indicating how much you need to roll in order to throw.
If you want to pass the ball to a empty square, click on your thrower, you'll see two options: deselect player (or end move), and pass to empty square. If you click on the latter, all squares in throwing range become valid passing targets, if you click on any of them, you'll Chuck the ball that way |

1) Click the player you want to pass with
2) Click "Pass Action"
3) Move to the ball and pick it up
4) Move to where you want to pass it from
5) Hover the cursor over who you want to pass it to. A range ruler will appear and tell you the dice roll required. Any potential interceptors will be higlighted
6) Click on the player you wish to pass the ball to.
Or if you want to pass it to an empty square:
1) Click on the player you wish to pass with
2) Click "Pass Action"
3) To see range options, click on the player again and select "Range grid on/off"
4) Move to where you want to pass it from
5) Click on the player again
6) Click "Pass ball (any square)"
7) Click the empty square
If you want the range grid to be on by default, there is that option under "User Settings/Range Grid" on the game client menu bar. |

Excellent stuff. How to 'scale' the client locally (by changing screen setting), and how to mark players would also be useful. I have stumbled into fumbblers who were unaware of those. |

Thanks, guys, all sorted now, I was just spooked by the passing grid. No other problems encountered so far.
How to mark players visual would also be neat, your visual is magnificent, Ramchop. |

Hold down shift and left click on an icon and then type whatever to mark it if it has any skills. |

^^This is one of the best pieces of advice you can get. It allows you to inventory the pitch to help do your turn because you can tell what both yours and your opponents players skills
B-Tmb is how I mark a player with Block, Tackle, Mighty Blow ..for example |

FWIW, I'm a weirdo that uses the shortcut keys to initiate actions
B - Block
Z - Blitz
P - Pass
M - Move
L - Leap
Anything else I just use the mouse to initiate. |

Leap makes your shortcut list but Foul doesn't. I just don't understand.
Also, help guide says Ctrl+B for block, not just B. I've never used shortcuts, which is right? |

I am unlikely to use shortcut keys, as the extra eyeball movement may give me vertigo.
I am marking players now, just have to work out a sensible shorthand system. |
