Just wondering what everyone's thoughts on skill progressions for the new Amazon Blitzers and blockers. I don't quite know how hit and run will fit in for the bltizers, but here are my thoughts:
Blitzers:
Seems like there are two obvious paths for them, both trying to take advantage of their jump up skill.
Either build them as a wrackler (which seems to not use their hit and run skill well) or build a blodging, sidestepping, diving tackler.
Both seem like a good use of this player to me.
Blocker:
I've thought of two paths for the blocker, but I'm sure there are more.
Guided missile: Block, tackle mighty blow
The Mighty Roadblock: Block Guard Stand firm. Combined with defensive, this will be an awful piece to try and remove.
I imagine people will also get a lot of use out of them as ball carriers, with block, break tackle, and maybe sure hands?
Those are my thoughts on them. What are yours? |

Blitzer - one Block / one Wrestle seems ideal
Mine are both Block partly due to random skilling. One additionally has Tackle
Wrestle on a Thrower is working okay for me. Acts as the safety, and it keep the expensive Leader out of harms way. Wrestle is perhaps a liability in attack - but I intend to hand-off the ball to a Blitzer anyhow
Blocker - I have gone Block & Guard. Stand Firm next |

I have no idea why you would want your expensive blitzer on ground to get fouled when lino with wrestle does the same thing 90% of the time ? |

yeah, that's a fair point. I do like the blodge/sidestep/diving tackle for them. Diving tackle, if it works, will end their turn, so less of a risk of foul there. |

If a Blocker is the ball carrier, I would rather have +AGI for 40k rather than Break Tackle for 20k
I think: Blitzers are carriers so the primary one Block, Sidestep, +MV, +MV
The second one with Block, Tackle then whichever
Blockers: Block, Guard all day. Then probably Stand Firm, or Mighty Blow |

I think Strength 5, BLODGE, dodging out on a 2+ possibly with move 7 would be awesome but even starting from a good statline that's pretty impressive investment of SPP for roughly 230-250 roughly. Then again strength 5 blodge is pretty wild. |

I think a Blocker carrier will gain plenty of SPP, trick is to roll +ST. |

Yea true
It's 2/16 chance of getting +ST, and you've got 6 shots at it.
5 slots if you take Block first |

Like a +AG, Break tackle Ogre but without Bonehead and having Dodge for free. |
