Older players will be more accepting of an all Lino elf team. At one point in history you were forced to start with 11 line elfs because if you started with low fan factor you couldn't get a game in IRC.

Also, back in 3e through the first couple LRBs, every point of FF was 1d6/15 extra 10k winnings, so every 4.3 FF was 10k per match. There was no correlation between FF and FF change: it was purely linear and based on in-game outcomes. There were no Journeymen, if you didn't have 11 going into the next match, you just played short-handed. Something like Spiraling Expenses not only existed but could be crippling, and cash added to TV, so you had to spend it as soon as you got it, further increasing the value of FF. 11 elf linemen was not at all unusual. This edition isn't quite like that; cash is a weapon, not a shield. They softened it a bit when they changed the way inducements worked, but if you're taking the long view, a head start that offsets a bad random increases the value you get out of random skills. After all, if you're getting 80% efficiency from your average kept random, you're getting a 60% TV advantage per skill.
