Hi everyone,
I haven't been here for a while, just came back to see what is going on and play a few games. It seems to me that I cannot use any of my old Blackbox league teams? When I try to que for Blackbox I can only choose Ranked and League Teams?
Can I play with my old Blackbox teams or should I just retire them? |

Hello!
The old Ranked and Black Box divisions are not active anymore.
You should create new teams in the Competitive division.
The old Black Box teams in theory should (will?) be transferred to Competitive division eventually, but there is no estimated date.
So, you don't have to retire your old Box teams, but if you want to play now you have to make new teams in the Competitive division.
The Competitive division uses both the Gamefinder (like old Ranked) and Box scheduler. The Competitive division is a single division using 2 ways to find games. Basically the Competitive division is the result of merging Ranked and Box divisions into a single division.

True, my bad, sorry. Ranked uses the old BB2016 ruleset, though, so it's an outdated division. |

Hello, I played my first match yesterday on FUMBBL (Competitive Division, Gamefinder mode). I would like to play again today with the same team. However when I launch the Gamefinder mode and try to "select" the team, it doesn't appear... Do you know why?

Hi,
I also haven't been on fumbbl for a few years, just got back and got the client to work, on my (by now) new laptop...
Q: Is there a way, to transfer my old BlackBox-teams to the new "Competitive"-Division, or have the rules / rosters changed so much, that this isn't an option?
I got quite a few "themed" teams with a lot of fluff (names, pictures, bios, etc.). I'd gladly trade some time to get those teams transferred, for being able to keep that stuff. |

Hi!
Old Black Box teams (from previous ruleset) can't be transferred to current Competitive division.
Maybe one day they will be cloned to Competitive division (this should be Christer's plan), but there is no date, as far as I know. It could happen eventually or never happen. I suggest to re-create them in new Competitive division yourself (you could slightly change their names). |

Cheers! Yes, just, don't expect them to be transferred any time soon. More than 3 years have passed and old Box teams are still there (not a hidden complaint, just explaining the situation). |

Np at all, I know it's a free site, and I know the gigantic amount of work, that has been put into coding the server-side-client (just fiddled with the newly added resizeability - awesome!) and also into keeping this site alive and kicking for 20+ years...
Transferring teams after rule- / division-changes is really just a minor topic, compared to that! 👍 |
