My AG 1+ Wardancer works for me. Multi rr helps too.

So, if you wanted to turn a Daemons of Khorne Bloodthirster (ma5, st7, ag3+) into cage buster would you go with Leap or Break Tackle?

I think the real question is - did they mean to make it like that? or was it another mistake by the intern who wrote the text in the rulebook...

Leap being a minimum of 3+ for elf leaps has been around forever, you just can't do it in 3+ TZs anymore, so, need to disrupt your opponent slightly first.

Which, BB16 elves worked really well with a couple leap in the team, so I can see why they wanted to nerf it slightly in season play. I found I could still win often enough with the 4+ into a tight cage, it was more the extra MNG your leapers faced that hurt the elf teams.

The other problem of Elves is that, assuming they can Leap and sack the ball carrier, they risk to fail big the punt due to Wildly Inaccurate.

About Leap: they could have made Leap working always on a 4+ with AG 2+ (without considering Tackle Zones, like the old Leap version) and on a 3+ with AG 1+.

Change Defensive skill like so: cancels all adjacent opponent Guards when the player is Blitzing (but not when Blocking).

Change Strip Ball like so: Sure Hands doesn't counter automatically Strip Ball, a test is required: (Strip Ball player's ST + AG + D6) > (Sure Hands player's ST + AG + D6) = the ball is stripped from the ball carrier.

Bring back 1 rr per turn and then Elves would have a decent sack threat, without being OP.

Yes but it's good with AG 1+.

I have a dancer with ag1, believe me, leap still pretty awful Evil or Very Mad

It's funny how they nerfed leap & elf passing, but OP'd hypnotic gaze & gave 8 ma runners to vamps to drastically improve the team...

Yes. Vampires needed a buff, but they got overbuffed.
Gaze potentially cancelling up to 6 skills with just 1 dice roll is too good.

I think that's simply powercreep. the elf teams haven't yet had a new release in 2020 (even 2016?) so if/when they do, they'll probably be pretty strong
