Hey everyone. It looks like Chaos Dwarves are the next race to be re-released.
What I got was
Chaos Dwarf blockers, should be mostly the same
Chaos Dwarf Flamers, fire breathing chorfs?
Hobgoblin stabbers, cheaper assassins?
Bull Centaurs will remain on the team.
Also Iron Hard Skill will now ignore all modifiers to armor not just claws.
Did I miss anything? |

Fire breathing is weird.
It can end your turn so it's worse than vomit in that regard. A 6 on a d6 is same odds as vomit breaking Av10+, worse than vomit otherwise. (Edit: I read it wrong. After you roll a 6, you then have to make an armor roll, so it's *much* worse at removing things than stab/vomit)
So your real benefit is the 4 and 5 half-wrestle.
It's a little worst odds of putting a blodger on the ground than a 2 die hit with tackle but it doesn't need any help. Stand firm with this could be powerful
I assume the flame breathers won't be just blockers with the bonus trait, so I think this makes the team weaker?
Hope I'm right, hate those bastards.
Hope the bull(shit) centaur gets SM access instead of G too. |

Think theyre dead. -
No tackle
Stab and shadowing not great.
The fire thing just as likely to cause a turn over than do damage, also cant use fire vs bigguys as its a turn over on a 1 or 2 |

I, for one, welcome Jeff Bezos and the Amazon Overlords. Wonder if this spike mag will nerf them cause otherwise they'll only have dorfs left to keep them in check. |

True, but in NAF all of the AV8+ teams do much better because they don't have to worry about playing with 50% loners so they can play more aggressive. |

Spit fire seems pretty useless. Not sure what they were trying to achieve there.
This is a nod to 2nd ed chaos dwarves who had fire throwers as a 0-2 option or 0-2 chaos Dwarf Mutants.
Sadly they dropped the ball here.
Sneaky Gits I can't see getting taken unless they're ma7... or sneaky git. But looks like they've dropped the ball here too.
Models are unbelievable mind. So thats good |

Man, I'd heard that Chorfs got a positional that spat balls of fire and I was quite excited for Bombardier. How disappointing.
On the plus side it looks like I just need to add some knives and beer bottles to my existing team to make the new roster.
Hopefully they've got something interesting in the stats/cost department, though. |

Good, I am glad they are intimating and leaking that they will finish the teams of legend. What about Slann and even Bretonnians? |

I like they have lost Tackle, at last. Let's hope normal Dwarfs will lose it as well.
About the roster: it seems weaker but at least there are new positionals.
About Bull Centaurs: they are already blessed by Hashut (this is why they are Centaurs) and they should not have M access. |

Slann and Brets will never be an official team. Imperial Nobs is the closest you'll get to brets and Slann I always hope, but GW have said over the years they'll never happen. I do hope that changes as they are fun. |

Same, there is absolutely no need to start so front loaded with skills.
MattDakka wrote: | About the roster: it seems weaker but at least there are new positionals. |
Problem is the new positionals look awful. Hobgoblins wont get taken, unless they start with Sneaky Git, or Ma7, but the announcement suggests they are the same as hobgoblins but with shadowing and stab, which will make them nothing but bloat.
The fire throwers I like as a nod to 2nd ed, but I don't see that ability getting used very often.
