Shame. This is rare.

The weirdest experience I had on FUMBBL in this regard was when the opposing coach was a political activist, who insisted that I write to my Prime Minister on a particular (quite technical) topic. He was very insistent. When I said I had no interest in so doing, he became very whiny and accusatory - did not stop for the whole of the rest of the game. At great length.

Spoilt the game entirely for me. I did not report the matter to the admins, but would do so nowadays.

This happened to me as well a couple of years ago. Perhaps we had the same opponent?

I wasn't too disturbed as it was about a topic I actually support (fight against climate change or something related).

But I get it, you come here to play a game of bloodbowl, not to get sucked into a political discussion...

however, terrible politics could result in technical issues connecting to FUMBBL. this would bea scary, but possible, scenario.

...is there a way to calculate the odds of it? on a D20 perhaps?

Ok, so now, my opponent just dropped the game because I KOed his Fungus the Loon... Fun times...

EDIT: Nevermind, seems it was a connection issue.

I could've sworn I remember this coach from way back as well...I just remember humoring him for a bit 'til the match ended though lol.

Kinda hilarious that's the one thing he was known for, we should get a running tally going for coaches who encountered him. Laughing

I had some bad experiences too but i was able to calm down the situation quickly. I remember a coach (I think in an Open game) become upset because I was fouling every two turns (I was playing snots and I had a sneaky guy). He becomes aggressive but I explained him that was nothing personal that is normal when you play snots to foul , I would even say is essential for survival. At the end he understood.

If I see that the guy is relatively new to Fumbbl in this case- even if good manners and education are important- I don’t report these case and I try to resolve within the chat.
But if he insists or if I would meet an experience users in Fumbbl being rude I don’t tolerate bad manners and I would report to staff.
Have to say that I had very few games where I experienced this.

For Bluegill87 and Bram -

The coach was French (which I speak). I forget his FUMBBL name. The technical/political subject was soil degradation, especially in Africa. It was maybe a couple of years ago.
