I mean, if a guy clearly is badly whining and being abusive, hide the chat. I just suggest not to hide every chat since the start of the game.
Many people actually use the game chat to communicate issues and important stuff, not just to whine and be rude. |

I'm surprised by that, sure people can get salty about losing, but it's rare that people actually become hostile
I kinda whine about dice sometimes which I try and avoid but I still do it, unfortunately. But at the same time, I try to be chatty and have fun with opponent, so hopefully my whining isn't too detrimental and we can both still enjoy the game |

So the chat in game is public, by nature, meaning spectators can see it, so if they are typing it, it's OK for other people to see it, meaning it's OK for you to post it.
My solution is to just cut and paste the chat into the final game report. You don't even need to comment on the chat, just enter it into the game report. In this way, anyone else who plays this person can look at their recent match history and quickly see that a game report was entered after the match. You can then read that report, and find out that lots of other people are not enjoying this coach's chats as well. Then you don't need to take personal offense.. it's just their nature.
I do this, because I always quickly check my personal match history with a coach before I play him. I read any game reports I have filed, and I'm ready to chat a bunch with a friendly coach I have enjoyed in the past, or to expect whining, unfriendly behavior, or just no chat from him at all. If he doesn't chat well, I can refrain from even trying, or being offended.
So check that coach's match history CrazyCat, and see if other people have commented. |

To chime in from a staff perspective, but without going into details:
Sometimes, reality is a little bit more nuanced and complex than what is publicly reported by one of the involved parties.
The staff team is aware of this incident and there is an ongoing process to deal with it. |

Everyone can be his own judge on this website since it's easy to track my matches and watch my replays. Nobody really cares about objectivity in this case. It's not about science or a big court trial, everyone will have their opinion and they are entitled to have their own opinion.
The only fact there is in this situation is that some people insulted another one and, I think, that's something prohibited on this website. |

Ah, that's too bad then. Should have copy/pasted it. |

Normally, staff members deal with complaints and tickets in private. If you insist, though, we can do it in public over this forum. I can publish the full chatlog should you want to (but probably would anonymize the name of the opponent).
I'll be clear here: To me, the log reads mostly like petty bickering between two children. It's not something anyone is actually interested in reading, nor is there any significant spicy dirt to laugh at. Both of you were obviously having a bad day imo.
But again, a full review is being made by staff and it's probably better to leave it at that and move on. |

I don't really care what people on a website think of me, you can post the logs if you think it can be of any use.
In this case, one thing is sure for me though: I know I'm not in the wrong. If mods thinks I'm as wrong as my opponent, it gives me a good reason to dismiss the mods as incompetents. If the members of this forum think I'm in the wrong, it gives me a good reason to ignore this forum altogether.
Yes, I sound presumptuous and I don't care if people think I am. |

I think that response is clear enough and we don't need to deal with the issue in public. People have enough information to make up their own minds about the situation. |
