Forgot to make a post about this back when Tschirgant knocked me out of Steel Gauntlet 4, but I did manage to get a Legend level player in 14 played games during that black box season and playoffs.

With 4 chosen skills, 1 chosen secondary (which was a statup that was downselected), and 1 random primary to finish it off this Gutter Runner was able to gain 97 SPP in 14 games for an average of 7 SPP per game matching his 2 TD per game average plus a pair of MVPs and a cas.
Has anyone gotten to legend faster? I assume so since you could always just random primary 6 times on a gutter and get there in literally half the SPP at 46SPP. |

He was able to generate so many points primarily because my strategy that season was to one turn every offensive opportunity that my opponent's setup provided.
I fully admit that my offensive skills are much weaker than my defensive so I thought it a fun challenge/experiment to try to play defense as much as possible. Given the season ended in an razor close OT loss to the eventual Gauntlet champs, I think that may be my strategy going forward. |
