i think there should be a skill that gives you +1 armor when you trip or fail a dodge or jump.

Less, not more skills.

You could just get +AV? It would be even better.

Pile Driver should give you the option to foul all models that fall down next to you.

Bring back PO, make it AV only, make it work on fouls if not spotted on the original AV roll (as well as on blocks), and you go prone before the reroll so no skills on AV or Injury.

I have a new one and this one is good.

Kneecapping. Like when a move 4 guy gets knocked over he can only move 1? Ok, so on a blitz, when you knock them down they can only move 1. I think it should be tried as 1 and cant move though.

I wonder if making it a 1 turn take root effect on a blitz pushback only would be balanced or grossly overpowered

This game already suffers from a ton of complexity creep being a gate for new players to get through. New skills need to really justify their inclusion, and this one doesn't. This one just isn't impactful enough that people would ever really take it.

You think so? Id say compared to most table top games this is incredibly approachable. I have taught a few people over the table and it doesn't really take that long before they understand their 3 or 4 types of actions they can take a turn and what most of the staple skills do. Some of the niche take a while I guess. Actually passing and throwing things is complicated, fortunately that's a bad option most of the time so it doesn't come up super often.
Feels more like a "easy to learn, hard to master" kind of game.

Even with that being my opinion, there are plenty of skills that are both bad/mediocre and boring that they could combine into another skill to make space to not make it more complex.
Safe pair of hands and diving catch for example

I believe some of those skills exist purely to make the table up to 12, so they can have a consistent number of skills on each table and in a way that can be rolled on with D6

Also there is complexity creep, coming from each new release
Since the 2020 rulebook, GW has imported their bad habit from other games like 40k, and each new star player or team rework has to include new unique special rules

It's fine for existing legacy players (us) and keeps things a bit more fresh, but for new players it's just a bigger and bigger pile of stuff they need to learn

Things like Trickster is a good example. it's a fun ability, but if you don't know about it and plan your turn around blitzing the illusionist, it could wreck your day

I don't like gotcha rules like that
I don't like rules creep
I am in favour of less rules, rather than more rules

Yes. I think that it is full of unnecessary crap and they are adding more all the time.

I assume that it is aimed encouraging people to buy the next shiny new thing.

On the upside, you can ignore a lot of it until it crops up.
You can even ignore it when it crops up. Mr. Green
