I have concern with giving gutter runners access to hit an run and brining natural one turners back into the game.

Natural one turners are currently in the game, since an amazon blitzer can get MA9. plus sprint plus HnR, is enough to move 13 squares
It's not very likely to actually work though, as it requires generous setup by opponent - ie not making a backline fence. (columns would be easier to get past, u bounce off the outside edge)

I've done it as a proof of concept in test mode, when the amazon roster went live on fumbbl. i've yet to do it in anger, but am working towards it. I also wanna try doing it defensively, on a blitz! event

Generally, I think Traits can be very powerful, and probably too powerful to have as normal-access skills. Imagine Trickster on an Elven Union Blitzer 🤮

You don't have to imagine! The Nagarythe in secret league have a ST3 Trickster.
I've got the traits available in my PEBBL league, but they tend to be expensive and/or have restrictions (trickster requires ST2 or less for example).

That's limited to one team, for one specific player that would need 3 skills to be able to do it, 2 of which require stat ups, so even more SPP required.

In the proposed scenario here, a gutter runner would only need 2 normal skill ups to do it. And if they weren't enough of a benefit over it, Gutter runners also start with an additional AG over the only unit that can do this currently, but also have access to mutations to be able to get 2 heads to make the necessary dodges on one turning even easier.

Skinks would cause a similar problem. And heavens forbid you ever roll +AG on a skink then, you'd pretty easily be able to turn one turning into a collection of 4-5 2+ rolls, which can't be healthy for the game.

To counter one turning increase the pitch size: 28 x 15 squares instead of 26 x 15. End Zone dimensions: 15 x 1 squares (as now). Touchback if the ball lands on End Zone at Kick-Off.
Bring back 1 rr per turn.

The elephant in the room is a too short pitch.

Disagree on lengthening the field. One turn touchdowns are something that should be possible, they just shouldn't be easy.

Also disagree with lengthening the field. But a one turn should require at least one chain push or a TTM.

For sure there should be 1 rr per turn again. 1TTD is too easy with multi rr.
About one chainpush required: currently only one chainpush is required to 1TTD with a MA 9 Sprint player. With multi rr is not rocket science.

That's kind of what I was saying before. A chainpush on a gutter runner with sidestep and sprint is probably an easier OTTD than a TD with a gutter runner with sprint and hit-and-run because you are doing that chainpush blitz with something strong enough to be good at it. S2 means 2 assists plus the opponent giving you a setup you can actually hit and run.
