Does Disturbing presence affect both the deflection roll and the following interception (catch) attempt? Or does it only affect the interception (catch) step? |

i said probably yes:
"When an opposition player performs either a Pass action, a Throw Team-mate action or a Throw Bomb Special action, or attempts to either interfere with a pass or to catch the ball, they must apply a -1 modifier to the test for each player on your team with this Skill that is within three squares of them, even if the player with this Skill is prone, Stunned or has lost their Tackle Zone." |

the only thing you can do without modifier is picking up a steady ball from the ground. anything else ball related has to deal with either the poor hygiene or blessings of the Grandfather close to the potential ballhandler. |

That looks pretty clear to me: both interfere and catch are named explicitly as being affected. |

Yeah, it's just that "deflection" or "interception" isn't mentioned specifically, which leaves it open to interpretation. That said I agree that both the deflection and the subsequent catch is affected. |
