I think the cap could be set to 1700 with 0 agent fees and then just manually verify like now to have people set to the correct value. |

@Sableheart
Ogres would suffer even more with redraft, wouldn't they?
You'd still have to be firing skilled ogres. you'd actually be doing so more often as the fees grow
Ogres have Low Cost Linemen which i'm not sure how that'd work, but it possibly suits TV cap better than it does redraft. with a cap, you get the snots for free
With redraft, you have to buy the snots each season
Also
"Note that I was very happy in the old system, where I build lizards to perfectly suit my needs. I would be happy to change to a similar system, but please don't stay on Manual TV culling."
I'm confused by this, as Manual TV culling IS the old/current system. Are you talking about something else?
Your lizards and your ogres are in the same system |

Ok but, WIL still had tiered TV caps back then, didn't it?
I also played in prem for a season with similar 2016 lizards https://fumbbl.com/t/877463 |

Ok, so 'old system' he's referring to there, means uncapped / no redraft / no limit on team?
Vamps would also like that |

I had voted for manual TV tiering, but my issue is pretty much agent fees.
If it was 0 agent fees I like both manual and redraft equally I think. The hybrid of manual tiering caps with redraft probably gives the best of both worlds |

True, I would still be firing skilled ogres. But the problem for me is not that I'm firing skilled ogres. The problem is that in the current system, if I have to replace a skilled ogre with an unskilled ogre to get below the TV cap, I need to have 140K in the bank.
If I end the season with six ogres, 4 of which have 40K in random skills, and 115K in cash in the bank, and I have to trim down 75K (excluding cash), I would like to replace two ogres with unskilled ones. Instead, because I don't have the money to buy an unskilled ogre, I have no choice but to fire one of those four (getting rid of 180K in TV), and keep 105K in cash to save up for buying an unskilled ogre down the line.
To do what I actually want to do at end of season (and what I could trivially do if we were using redrafting), I would need to save up to 280K throughout the season. If I end up 5K short (for example through a bad spiralling expenses roll at the second to last game), I HAVE to start the season with 5 ogres. |
