Hello,
I'd like to know this:
can re-rolls be dropped during a Season according to official rules?
I thought they could not be dropped, but I accidentally dropped a rr from my Chaos Dwarf team and I saw another team dropping a rr as well.
Is that right or just a roster page bug?

In the current FAQ/Errata -- it would indicate that re-rolls, once bought can not be dropped to lower the team TV during the 'league'.. which I interpret to mean for the season.

That specific change on the site was announced in the 6 February change logs:
Rulesets
Teams in season-enabled rulesets can no longer discard rerolls outside the re-drafting sequence

I thought that as well, but I wanted to be sure, because maybe I was missing a FAQ.
Then the roster page should be fixed. Dropping a rr can be exploited by minmaxing teams in order to stay in their sweetspot during a Season.

if one team is in "end of season" stage (so just before the decision: going into redraft or going into tournaments) you cannot drop reroll: isn't it?

I don't think you can drop a rr when at "End of Season", because this message is displayed:
"The season has ended for this team
This team has completed the games for this season. You can either take the team into play-offs (tournaments), or skip the tournaments and move on to the next season.

If you wish to go into play-offs apply for appropriate tournament, otherwise click the button below."

With that message displayed you can't manage the roster page yet. First you have to decide whether re-drafting or joining a tournament.
I guess that joining a tournament is considered like an additional part of the Season which has just ended.
Since the Season keeps on running due to the tournament, you should not be able to drop rrs.

I confirm that, at least on Fumbbl, you CAN'T drop a RR when at "End of Season".
I redrafted my black box 15-game Zons yesterday... and I was forced to keep my 3 RRs.

So if this is possible, it is a bug. I can't do it on my teams in post-match, though

You can drop rerolls during redraft.

On February 3rd I was able to drop the rr (I checked the PM I sent to an admin to be sure about the date). Maybe it has been fixed.
Edit.
Just to be clear: I dropped a rr during the Season, not during Re-Draft.

Okay, so there's the End-of-Season mode (E), and then if you click "skip tournaments and redraft" you go into Draft mode (D).

In E mode, you may not fire rerolls, because your season is not really over. You may enter a tournament with the team if you like.

If you click into D mode, you may no longer enter tournaments, and you must redraft. However, at this point, you may fire re-rolls. Fun fact, however: you may not buy re-rolls at this point; you're stuck with the ones you came in with, or fewer.

mmmmmmmmmmm so you cannot fire reroll in End mode but you can fire reroll in reDraft mode (but NOT purchase reroll).
So is it a bug that in reDraft mode reroll can be fired i presume... if confirmed i will mark this in the bug section.

wait, no, it works great as-is.

Until you hit the button to go to redraft, you are in-season. You may hire rerolls, but not fire them.

Once you hit the button, you are in redraft mode. You have no rerolls. You may re-hire your old rerolls, and the system assumes you intend to do so, but you do not have to. This is represented by the ability to fire re-rolls, which is perhaps not the intended approach, but is materially equivalent.

There is no problem or error: you just need to figure it out.

I suppose it makes some sense if re-rolls at the regular price represent pre-season training at a dedicated camp where the players learn to work as a TEAM. Then it becomes more difficult/expensive (twice as expensive, in fact) to work in that training DURING the season with the team to get the same level of training.

And you can't really UNTRAIN. (Well, I suppose if you use the right combination of drugs you can get the same effect, but we'll leave that alone for now.)

Then during redraft, you have another off-season to escape to training camp and players retained can work with all the rookies to possibly get themselves back up to the level of training they were in before.

At least that's what I'm going to tell myself.
