Oh man! Thank you very much!!
It's a great improvement for user experience and chat participation.
No more typos and incomprehensible sentences. |

Hi, i just had my first match with the new client on Ubuntu GNOME, and although the white bar is gone, it still prevented my from playing my game as I could not get past the inducements menu, because of the larger font size, the buttons were not shown in the window.
So for me on Ubuntu 24.04 with GNOME desktop, I still need to do
unset -v GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID
unset -v XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
in a terminal before starting the client using javaws. |

Here is your step by step buide:
1. You download OpenWebStart from their website and install it. In KDE, at this point in time, you just double click .deb files and the system tools handle things without a need to do terminal.
2. You are done. It will work out of the box.
Also, just don't use gnome. It's bad. KDE is objectively better both as technology and as a tool to get things done. Kubuntu has you covered, as a newb that's probably what you should go with. |
