The Bloodbowl Champion's League is an association of draft leagues that share a common postseason, but have segregated regular seasons. Currently, it comprises an elven unified roster, standard team, secret team (FUMBBL curated house rule rosters), and stunty draft leagues. We are currently considering adding a Chaos Blocker draft league, Greenskin draft league, or human draft league. The new draft leagues involve unified rosters like the aforementioned elven draft league. Let's discuss the three different draft leagues we could recruit for midseason starting with the human draft league.
The roster uses the human roster as a base with the addition of x2 st4 blocker positionals. However, there are linemen from the human team and imperial roster. Human, Norse, Border Prince, Araby, Kislev, Myrmidia, and Sister roster catchers (up to x4 mix and match). Blitzers are derived from the Human, Amazon, Imperial Bodyguard, Norse, Cult of Ulric, Border Prince, 4 Nation, Araby, Nippon, Myrmydia, Templar, and Imperial Noble blitzer (up to x4 mix and match). Up to x3 stunties, only the human halfling. Throwers from the human, Imperial, Amazon, Norse, Kislev, and 4 Nation rosters (up to x2 mix and match). Bigs are derived from the human ogre, Yhetee, OWA Treeman, Kislev Bear, and Ulric Anvil (up to x1). The blocker may be derived from the amazon blocker or the norse ulfwerener. Let's discuss the Greenskin draft league.
Orc roster players from Standard and SL mixed with greenskin stunties with and without weapons from standard and excel. This league concept's roster was lifted from my discord and implemented onsite, but it was my creative labor and I find this to be very tedious because all of my league ideas that involve unique rosters are unique and now I need to split recruitment witha copycat. The animosity of the positionals of the standard orc roster have been coded to the orcs from other rosters. Goblin weapons are also added to the roster. Lineman can be derived from the Orc team, Savage Orc team, Sneaky git hobgoblins, or dirty play hobgoblins. The passer can be the traditional orc passer, half orc passer, hobgoblin runner (mv7), or the renegade orc from the chaos renegade team (mix and match x2). The standard orc blitzer, half Orc Blitzer, or savage orc blitzers fill the blitzer slot (up to x4 mix and match). The big category is fulfilled by the standard Orc team Troll. The blockers are the standard Uns, Forest Goblin Spider Riders, Half Orc Blockers, Squig Hoppers, Savage Orcs, Black Orcs (up to x4 mix and match). The stunties on this roster include the bomma, looney, and fanatic notably, within the limit that you cannot duplicate weapon loadout but can select all three. You may have up to x4 stunties including, bomma, looney, fanatic, pogoer, hooligan, doomdiver, Madcap shroom, Gnoblar trapper, Troglagob, Gnoblar piggyback rider, snotling (yes with swarming) (mix and match x4). Let's discuss the Chaos Blocker draft league.
The simplicity of this league does lend itself to unique playstyles. The most salient builds include tentacle build, frenzy build, offensive build. Tentacle build could involve the rotspawn, Constrictor (from the snakeman roster in SL), and any lineman type (no lineman comes with tentacles unfortunately). Frenzy build is straight up Khorne, but with access to any chaos frenzy big, bloodseekers, and marauders. The offensive build involves Keeper of Secrets, Bull Centaurs, and skaven linemen. A stable build may involve Chaos Chosen Blockers, a chaos ogre or troll, and renegade linemen. Let's review.
The human roster is playtested enough to know that it will not imbalance the association's play in the postseason, so that is a stable choice. The greenskin roster, I want to implement to take back what should be mine to begin with, however, the weapons may imbalance an already strong roster for the association's postseason play. The chaos blocker roster, is probably my balancing/playstyle option crowning achievment because itis not overpowered either. During the seaon I will have time to promulgate a new league while the others are playing. I will eventually implement all three leagues, however, your vote will help me choose which one to recruit for firstly. I will not recruit for multiple at once, because that is not a sound strategy to promulgate multiple leagues at once. So please cast your votes. |
