Round 3: npe's Orc "[SWL] Dorruks"
Abhorrent
If there is one team I really do not want to see do well in Prem 100, it is npe's Orcs.
Why? We have quite a different philosophy when it comes to team building. Looking at the picture above, his seems substantially more effective. However, it is based on deliberately throwing games so that the Orcs could get an easy season in reggies, the lowest division in SWL.
As for our encounter, I felt the Orcs were still just playing the spp farming game. Not currently a threat for a Prem title no matter how well they're built.

Round 4: JamesDSF's Necromantic "Turbo Wolves"
Odds of escaping this one without a loss were pretty small.
- Three of my four best players were out. M8 blodger / BGTmb BOrc / BG BOrc
- Up against an Ag2+ BDT wolf and a Ma9 BDTmb wolf
- Up against a mighty fine Necromantic team. 2x runner up, 2x 3rd, 7th time in Prem
- Up against a mighty fine Necro coach. Currently #4 in the world on the NAF Necro ranking (would have been #1 if this post was written last week)
So how bad was it?
Drive 1
A T8 great escape worthy of Skittle's R2 hobgoblin
Drive 2
Closer to a 1TTD than I would have got. Though, perhaps spectator Faulcon would have taken it to the line
Halftime 1 - 0
Drive 3
Varag dodge!
Dodge Roll [2]
Loner Roll [4]
Dodge Roll [4]
...sadly no pow
Drive 4
Too much happened to break it all down. The BOrc coach spent most of the time on the back foot valiantly scrambling. The better coach got there in the end.
Drive 5
Varag pickup, goblin catch, Troll..... trolled it.
Full Time 1 - 2 (0/0/0 - 2/2/0)
GGs need to hit harder. |

Round 5: CokeGuy's Underworld "Believe in Swarming"
Up against the reigning SWL champion, but I felt pretty confident going into this one. The gutter runner was missing. I'd overdog Bomber so there was only one star to face. The UW were bottom of the table. Would this be the game where I paint the UW square on my bingo board green?
Drive 1
Turn 7. I could score. RR in pocket, and surefeet. Straight run to the line 92.6% odds.
I didn't want to give them the chance to score back before halftime, so I stalled. What could 6 UW do against my 9 anyway?
Oh. Snotling 3D pushed out the way (grab is good), then it was dodge skill and reroll in the pocket to pull off 2x 3+ rolls. 79% odds.
I should have scored T7.
Half Time: 0 - 0
Drive 2
Turn 12. Simple 3+ dodge and a gfi. No reroll.
Drive 3
Turn 16. Again up on numbers. Surely he couldn't stop me this time.
Full Time: 1 - 1 (5/3/1 - 1/2/0)
6 cas in 4 games, then 9 in one. I certainly can't complain about the dice. I should have scored on T7. Dammit, dammit, dammit. |

Round 6: BeefyGoodness's Tomb Kings "Malapropisms Relieved"
If results went our way there was still a slim coach the GGs could hit a BOrc high of 4th in Prem. Needed a couple of wins though.
Turn 16: 2-1 down, trust in blodge for the draw!

Round 7: Faulcon's Snotlings "Pitch Painters"
Playing for pride now. Lose and we get 7th, win or draw 6th.
Turn 16: 1-1, trust in blodge for the win!
Full Time: 1 - 1 (2/0/2 - 1/2/1)
I have got to stop the desperation trust in blodge. Especially when Skitter is around. |

Season 101! Back to Conferences. Probably the GG's penultimate season. Can we finish with a bang by getting up to Prem one last time?
Who stands in our way?
Killer Heelz (1390k, 26/22/41 = 42% win rate) Reggiesson
We Come From A Land Up Over (1250k, 18/8/17 = 51% win rate) The_Demon
Anything but Twilight (1410k, 7/4/3 = 64% win rate) KeepitCoul
Phin Lizzies (1500k, 4/7/2 = 58% win rate) RonnieScrollman
Custodes Centenarius (1190k, 6/5/3 = 61% win rate) HaruHaru
Bloodwolf Bandits (1430k, 10/7/15 = 42% win rate) Bobs
Ahuriri Unearthly (1440k, 14/8/4 = 69% win rate) Sandune
But it's a 10 team division again (yuck!). Who do the Luckers miss out on?
UnderRatted (1460k, 10/4/11 = 48% win rate) eganra
Malapropisms Relieved (1460k, 23/14/12 = 61% win rate) BeefyGoodness
And how are the good guys lookin?
GG Luckers (1460k, 39/26/25 = 58% win rate) BeefyGoodness
As always it's going to be a tough season. SWL does it better. |

Round 1: Reggiesson's Dark Elf "Killer Heelz"
Four previous encounters with the Heelz. The Luckers seem to be a bit of a bogey team for the dark elves, 3 wins 1 draw. Often very bloody.
However, Nuffle decided to smear his greasy mitts all over this one.
Drive 1
BLITZ!!!!
Heelz charge ahead and put a TZ on the goblin blodger. No worries, we'd smack him off after freeing up a block BOrc using grab on the front line. Blitz that delf blitzer, just go for it to get there.... [1] rr [1]
Drive 2
BORcs start bashing. The sneaky git seemed to roll an awful lot of 1s and 2s on the armour rolls. But we got there in the end.
Halftime 1-1
Drive 3
A dodging BOrc knocks the ball free, blodge goblin collects, and wears a pow to the face. No worries we have the ball surrounded. Smack a witch out of the way and it'll be an easy(ish) grind to the line.
Away sprint the elves scoring on T16 after this time the dodging blitzer BOrc fails the dodge.
Drive 4
We can do one turners, we've got a MA8 sprint surefeet star
And then Nuffle kicks us in the nuts once more.
This time Nuffle the tease, teases the elves.

Round 2: The_Demon's Chaos Pact "We Come From A Land Up Over"
Trolls. You simply can't trust them. The GGs haven't had much luck with trolls. They don't do much damage and take forever to skill. And of course they go stupid at the most inconvenient times. Our current troll, Kaiwharawhara, decided to go random on his second skill: Pile Driver. He was lucky to survive the redraft.
Drive 1
Kreek on the line of scrimmage. So tempting, do we put the players in to get him down and off? The danger here of course is that Kreek gets an awful lot of targets if he remains standing. Do we dare trust Kaiwharawhara to knock Kreek off the pitch?
Troll down, Kreek dead!
Turn 3 started with a snaked go for it leaving the Luckers' ball carrier exposed. The Pact team capitalised, securing the ball, and also removing two GG players.
Again, the age old question. Can we trust a troll to perform a key action?
YES!!
There was a still a bit of work to do after that. This was aided significantly by the Pact Troll going stupid.
"Duh!" Trolls, you just can't trust them.
