Hi. Been hunting for a while now, and have found many, many FUMBBL teams with impressive bio's...but few with equally impressive graphics...
I need to find teams out their with the following...
a.) Impressive (realistic- they must kinda look like they'll fit on a helmet!) team logo's...
b.) Team colours/kit descriptions...
Such teams may find themselves imortalised by the hallowed broacasters CABAL 5...

No takers, huh? Guess we are an ugly bunch...
Maybe if I explained a little bit more about what I'd like to do...
If you've seen my "Dissing the Dwarves" artwork thread in General Chat, you will have seen the Cabal 5 campaign news broadcasts...
Now, Cabal 5 were originally a sports station, and I thought it was time they became such again, doing humerous pieces on the various teams here...maybe even match reports/incidents...(I'm prepared to spectate or replay matches, or read match reports to get the lowdown n' juicy details...)
But its hard work trawling for decent teams to work this on...I could write humerous pieces for many of the various teams here...there are some beautiful, detailed blogs and bios out there to work from...but if these are to be visual pieces, then I need visual material to work from...
Maybe I shouldn't explain...maybe I should show you...
Cabal 5 welcomes the return of Bob- every sports channel needs a frustrated fat man with a loud voice and an unhealthy obsession with all things statistical...Cabal 5 is no exception...so here is the new Bob...
Bob is a many layered image- there are several torsos, arms, heads, expressions, etc...I can make Bob do pretty much anything you'd want a commentator to do...and some things you wouldn't...(I got 7 head varients, 2 torsos and 4 different arms so far- there will be more!)
But even the torso is multi-layered...there are 3 different layers for the three main colours...this means it is a matter of minutes to tint Bob to represent any team you can imagine...add a logo or two and he's like the president of their fan club! (maybe even player names and numbers later...) 
So far only found a couple of suitable teams to follow...and one hardcore loony willing to let me follow his Nuffle-tastic warriors as they hit the road...many thanks for putting up with the Cabal 5 team...Bob alone can eat as much as your average Ogre Blocker with a six foot tape worm!
So to show you what I mean, and without further ado, meet Bob, in his replica supporters kit for

and I would say that Six hooves have achived the biggest of my turnement wins
and Hammer house have done best in smacks.

Oh, I've had a look- I think you'll definately make the Cabal 5 scheduling list...
Same problem as many others though- no team colours listed! Seriously, how freakin' difficult can it be to type "Blue/white" in your team bio...???

Almost exclusively Photoshop...version 7 or 9...
Used to be mainly scanned images- do a b/w line drawing, scan it in and work on it from there...since I got my Lightpen, a lot more work is freehand in Photoshop. |

Well I have made a few logos for some of my teams... but the Harlequins get the most games. Team colours and stuff will be up once I've painted my new Elf team. "Huh? Someone other then Brownrob still paints that stuff?" I here you say...

Always interested...though the logo's that tickled me most were the Nehekhara Blitz, Pittzburgh Squealers & Trample Bay Bukkineerz...
And dont worry- you aint the only one still painting...all the Badland Rams are real players...errr...minis...

Team colours.
Lone Stars I thought it was pretty obvius just by looking at the year book.
But the Colours are Black and Red
Six Hooves Under play in Black Brown and light brown you see the colours in the logo.
Hammer House play in Blue and Silver. Also reflected in the logo.
Sting Rays. play in Black and flat Blue. again see logo for nuance.
Roya gayness. play in shades of pink with gold trimmings. |
