Hello Leegers,
It looks like there is a serious bug in the new client involving shadowing/side-step and following up blocks. It can put the client into an "Invalid State" and you need to get the match cancelled.
So if you want to choose Shadow beware that to use him in his full irritating glory then you may break the game...

he was shadowing after someone else followed up a block and then the game went into an Invalid State.... at least that's my guess
:p |

The bug was Shadow being hit, side-stepping, the blocker following up and Shadow shadowing him into the spot he left behind.
It's happened to me twice with Shadow now, both times is was the 2nd time he was hit (may or may not make a difference). |

Functionally probably the only disadvantage compared to Skyjunkies client is that there is no separate save file at the beginning of a turn... |

Try playing against Pygmies, that's the same case. It's not a bug regarding Shadow, but with shadowing in general. Check the bug list, and you'll see it mentioned six or seven times in total by now. |

Aye, I knew it was a general bug but I thought Shadow was the most popular shadowing/side-stepper in the league. I forgot that this could be a major problem for Pygmies (and to some extent Eshin as well).

happened to me and coach NaisYop yesterday too... we had played more than half the game... *sigh*
So the game crashes because Shadow wants to move to an occupied square? |

It crashes when a player with Shadowing decides to follow up a block where Side Step has been used.
It's just one of those things you have to remember I guess. Happened to me in Stunty once too, but can happen anywhere with any player. |

With the walk through the bug list in January, I noticed this to be mentioned for some Ranked games as well. (Dark Elf Assassin with Side Step as gained skill). |

Yeah it's more known now, I think there is also the same issue with grabbing a shadower, following up and then the guy getting hit shadowing the follow up. |

I will sticky this thread as a reminder. I have learned my lesson a long time ago. |

I guess pygmy teams with SS suffer a lot from this bug? |

Which is the one where you leave the game it fixes it? This one?
The one where the player clicks to quickly and loses his blitz whilst being shadowed does happen a lot. |
