Welcome to the Norscan Survivalists League.
This thread is where you will find all the fluff, banter, moaning, groaning and cries of jubilation (and death) as the seasons (hopefully) progress.
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Norscan Survivalists random team allocation just finished over in #nsl, and your new coaching assignments are posted below. The chieftains are all very pleased/worried (remove appropriate word) to have you on board.
Here's what you do next:
1. First check out the Team Creation Guide over at the NSL group page. Think of the league as a kind of Norscan BB-gladiator circuit. Your team is owned by a local Norscan chieftain who desperately wants to beat all the other chieftains to the league title. You're the head coach, and responsible for making this happen.
2. Then start creating your team, and apply to the group page when done. Preferably by Monday 28th. Note: it must be a new [L ]team, with 0 games played.
3. Logos: having a team logo adds character to the League. If you add one to your team, it will be put on the group page as well (replacing the race logos). If you like, the league (i.e. yours truly) might just help you with a logo. Send me a PM. Suggested logo size 180 x 180px (small version 36 x 36px).
4. Your team will be randomly allocated to one of the 4 regional divisions on Monday (the draw will also be made at 8pm in #nsl). The Divisions are: Kraken Coast (N), Chaos Coast (N), Claw Coast (S), Fimbul Plains (S). The division winners meet in the Conference North and Conference South (semi-)finals, with the winners facing off in the League final. The winner of this again will meet the SSL champions from down under in the Casualty Cup.
5. The season kicks off Monday evening after the division draw. Round one should be played by October 12th.

TRADITIONAL BURNING OF LONG BOAT
And now, to celebrate a completed draw, and the upcoming season: a delightful commemorative burning of a long boat. A tradition wishing everybody good luck with their season, and also symbolising that you might be on a similar burning boat should your chieftain grow disgruntled with your progress.
