My idea for nerfing the Hypnotic Gaze: with a successful roll, all the target's skills are cancelled on a 6, otherwise only the target's Tackle Zone is cancelled.

Because Hypnotic Gaze always cancelling all the target's skills is potentially too good and scales very well.
Cancelling all the skills on a 6 would nerf it.
Not saying it's the best way to nerf it, but it's an idea.

How about it just goes back to what it used to be, tackle zone nullification?

Before you all say something, I said back in October when vamps were released that they were the most busted high tv team ever released and that the runner was the best positional in blood bowl and it wasnt close. DOOM IS COMING

Then you were entirely right, but now it's obvious to the rest of us, it would be nice if something was done about it (be it a nerf or seasons or something else) otherwise high tv bb, including majors are going to suffer badly in my opinion.

When my high TV bash teams have faced high TV vamps, the games usually came down to the vamps‘ regen rolls. If they regenerate successfully, they win. If not, they lose. Vamps are a fragile team. They might be favored to win every individual game, but over the course of a major, attrition should catch up to them (at least in theory).

I agree, it feels like turning off skills was one of these accidental rules changes (it needs an FAQ to explain as it isnt obvious).

Agreed. The nullification of skills by the gaze is very harsh. Whether or not it is too much on Bonehead etc. I don't know.

Mv8 and not needing to bite on failed bloodlust is what I think is a bit too much, both negating vampires weaknesses. Vamps should be slow and they should explode.

Bloated Vamp teams are more of a perpetual league problem than a roster problem.
