So recently Chorfs got a major update and will release soon. (I think)
Mino and Centaurs will remain untouched
Hobgoblins and Shadowing + Stab Hobgoblins
Chorf Fire Breath Blitzer type player
Chorf Blocker gains Iron Hard Skin (but different)
But they removed Tackle.
How do people believe the new race will play? What sort of strategies to look out for? Do people believe Chorfs will still be Tier 1? Or has it been nerfed to Tier 2 or 3? How will Chorf Blockers work without Tackle?
Looking forward to suggestions! |

We haven't seen the full roster... prices, skills, postional numbers yet so, hang fire on judgement. |

If the flamebreather dudes stay AV10+ then they are still a GW tier 1 team. Likely drop a tier in NAF style tiering because that mass tackle means you didn't have to spend skill points on it.
Bull centaurs are still one of the most ridiculous things in the game, and the weakness of "I have to field 3 hobgoblins" means they still have no glaring weakness against non-bash rosters. They're still a good team, but drop in WR vs dodge heavy rosters. Bad vs Zons now probably.
The MU I'm interested in seeing evolve is Undead. I think people forget they are a relatively dodge heavy roster too with up to 4 ghouls. It was an even matchup before, I think it goes in UD favor significantly now. |

Hobgoblins can take Wrestle to make up for the lack of Tackle and Bull Centaurs can take Tackle too, some Hobgoblins could get either Wrestle or Tackle as random G. For sure without Tackle spam they are weaker vs teams with many Dodgers, but Chorfs should still be competitive enough overall. |

Also the new Iron Hard Skin cancels out the unfair advantage rookie Undead have vs. most teams. That's a 40% reduction in the number of breaks taken, though in terms of Cas reduction, it's only 29%. I don't think this will perfectly even it out, but that's fine. |

If the chorfs change will be a positive change for the meta, or a net nerf, a lot will depends on cost/skill access/stats line+starting skills on flamesmiths and stabbas.
If the team remain very viable( 8 pieces av10+, 6 pieces block, maybe stabba ma 7), it will be a positive change for stunties and the meta in general, cause they have an harsh matchup against old chorfs.
Thats mho. |

Apparently though fire breathing is a Blitz action so it can only be used once which significantly makes it worse. Also, it immediately ends your activation instead of allowing the normal Movement after blitzing.
Natural 1 makes you knocked down.
It works on a 50% with a -1 against Str 5+
Only 17% or a natural 6 can actually knock them down. But unlike Vomit, it still makes you have to roll armor which makes it even worse.
Finally 33% ONLY places them prone. So it’s really a waste of time. Unless they change this skill, I’ll only get Flamesmiths because they’re dwarves. |

"Have you seen this little fella? He doesn't have tackle!"
I really love GW for removing tackle from chaos dwarves. At least now they have stab and a flame thrower. hu hu |

It doesn't say "natural 1", it says "on a 1". This means that a modified 1 (or rolling a 1 or 2) is a self-knockdown vs S5+. |

Oh yeah it does. That just makes it even worse, if that’s possible. |
