Not really, but there are some hopes. I like to play gnomes, but they are crazy hard.
First you need to foul a lot.
Second you need to break armors.
Third you need to score and survive the mayhem.
There is a thing that puzzle me a lot with them, and that could explain their poor results.
They are part of the Hlfling Thimble Cuo but cannot hire the chief for 100k.
Why?
To be able to steal rerolls would beneft them greatly!
Please change this injustice GW.
PS: Please gave them some secret weapons or guns. |

One match in and so far I've found two things about Gnomes:
1. Their Foxes are absolutely their saving grace for speed/ball thievery
and
2. Stunty without Dodge is completely crazy. Your team will break...likely every time and even if you manage to win. |

I wish they put Gnomes in the Elven Kingdoms bracket, would have opened up some interesting differences with stars. With them being in Halfling Thimble Cup just seem a bit samey |

Agree.
Because they can seal rerolls, and have dodge.
The fox is good to score, but he cannot be thrown or gave the ball to someone.
The fox is not even able to learn fumblerooskie...the only time this skill would have been useful ever. |

Most of the times I have played against gnomes I have taken colossal slaps.
Then I am also a masochist that I do cherry pick in reverse va beh

In BBT11, Gnomes have a win rate of 41%, compared to Halflings and Goblins, who are both on 35%. |

That's interesting to know! Just imagine if they had the chief to 100k. They could be close to 50%!
Goblins need Swoop to be back as before, but that's another topic. |

I've pretty well resigned to the fact that if I'm using the fox to handle the ball, then I'm committed to either his TD or his inevitable clobbering/failed GFI/failed blitz etc.
The issue I have comes from their ability to skill. Only Agility and it's not even on a NORMAL SPP track. So either roll randomly at 6 SPP and up, get more if you want to pick said skills, or commit to the max SPP levels for a bunch of stats for them cuz that's the only way they get better.
Never seen a player like that before, it kinda broke my brain the first time I came across it. |

The only correct path with foxes is to stat up to movement. Anything else is a waste of TV |

This is my thinking too, movement and anything that'll help with that regard (Sprint, Sure Feet). Maybe Catch too.
I would endorse +ST but man that seems so expensive for a player with absolutely zero access to things like Block or Mighty Blow. Not to mention the same armor as a snotling (ie basically nothing).
EDIT: Still though, it's an incredibly amusing thought for a fox to nab 2 +ST. Just have this tiny little missile with all the power of a Chaos Warrior making a beeline through the opposing cage at high speed. |

I think low TVs they can hurt a lot.
Giving them also the Chef: no thanks. |

Gnomes are better than halflings after each side gets a few skill-ups. Because adding Dodge to gnomes is a big step up in survivability.
It's pretty much as simple as that - gnomes start out made of glass, but simply level-up far better than halflings. |

I definitely believe this, they're the late game powerhouse of the Stunty teams. All of the players with "Gnome" in their name start with Wrestle, Jump Up is a nice compliment for that (as well as some TTM buffoonery), Illusionists can befuddle blocks with some well placed marks and 2 free Stunty Guards that also have Wrestle are wicked for setting up some cage invading plays.
If they can be built to survive, they will be nasty. But like you say they're glass in the beginning so getting there is another thing altogether. One simply has to mentally prepare for the many beatdowns in their future. (and cherish those times when the Gnomes get to stomping other teams flat).
The other thing the team has going for it is they are dirt cheap, lineman and positionals alike (sans the Trees) so replacements aren't hard to come by. |

Gnomes don't have enough right stuff for my taste. You can just throw linemen, which is a shame for a stunty team.
Specially when you have the best stunty throwers, treemen. I called them the best because of strong arm and no nega-trait like bonehead or really stupid. |
