What is a draft league: At the start of each season you take turns drafting players with pre-generated learned skills that bolt onto a base player with their base skills. For example, if you choose a player with block and juggernaut compatible with your witch elf then it will come with its base skills of jump up, frenzy, and dodge will also have juggernaut and block additionally.
I am recruiting for an association of draft leagues. It is an association because all these teams play each other in the post season. Player's TV is only derived from learned skills.
Schedule structure has 3 sections
Preseason: 4 league segregated tourneys yo build skills and the winner of the tourney goes to the playoff as an auto bid. 2-3 games max
Regular: 5 game schedule within your league. Winner of the regular season receives a playoff auto bid
Post: Finally, you will play teams from other leagues. You will either make the highest level playoffs, mid tier tourney or the knockout low tier tournament.
Triple Crown: win your preseason tourney, regular season, and BCL playoff in a single season.
x1 UFL team (players from all standard elf rosters+treeman+SL spite stunty+ balanved SL elf players): the league I participate in. Because these teams are great at standing points they make it to the postseason most often. More interestingly, it is a high agility, chain push, and thrown teammates league. These teams are built to score and scoring TDs is a prime way to reach the postseason as an at large berth. However, the KPA and IBA teams have a lot of skills to contend with so 2 straight seasons of advancing two teams to the knockout rounds but never winning the postseason.
x1 KPA team (any legal unused SL team, there are currently x2 banned teams): The only team to win the championship for 2 straight seasons and the only triple crown is in stasis because the team is too overpowered. Any team that you pick must be cleared as competitive and not overpowered by myself and other league staff--i can be overruled in a vote.
x2 IBA team (any unused standard team+Slann+Brettonians): these teams only competed during Season 2 and nonetheless their league champ made it to the playoff finals. As you may imagine innate skills help build these teams out quicker.
x6 XLB (stunty teams): If you think that stunty teams would be weak in a draft league you'd probably be right most of the time. However, these teams are well suited in this format.for instance the banned teams is a two time champion and happens to be a stunty teams. Also the consolation playoff knockout bracket had a treeman team win it during Season 2. We will need 6 teams to start a season because it's a new league. The reason why these teams are strong is because the big guys are more skill laden and not burdened by their base cost TV |
