Welcome!
Sorry to hear that you were injured, hope the recovery is swift and complete. On the topic of this site, it is a lot of fun but it can suck you in really quickly if you let it. Each game seems to use about 1.2MB so you should be okay for a few games.
With regards,
Dan.

Oh wow that's a lot lower than I thought. Thx Dan. I only played about 10-12 games a month when I played with friends but I did spend a fair amount of time thinking about it and talking about it.

Welcome to the site, Hopefully your recovery goes well! Can't speak to data use, but there are a lot of useful resources available on-site if you cant get discord to work. Even if you know the basics of how to play it's worth giving the help and startup sections a read, hope to see you on the pitch soon!

Thx Buffy cat I've already browsed the new user section. It looks like watching games is possible and if so that's probably what I'm going to do for a day or 2

hope you have a laptop. The game doesn't fit on a phone. WElcome to the party and glad to hear you're alive!

Java is the biggest download, 130 MB or so, and yeah, some sort of PC/Mac required there. I recall it runs on java 7+ as they had to fix that recently. I tether from a phone these days on 5gb a month, and fumbbl is almost none of that.
Fumbbl client is 20 MB or so every time they update, currently a run of bugfixing so been one a week or so this month, usually goes months between. Very little per game, try out the box trophy, four teams, 25 games each, you have most of a year to finish. Get stuck in. :D
Also, general data saving tip, run all the lite apps you can on your phone directly and they use a small fraction of the data of the full sites too, then just find every option you can that disables auto-playing movies, including add blockers, because those things are your main data use, by far.

If you have a laptop you can use your phone hotspot on that. If you want to go over the top I would suggest getting a WiFi source. If you are unable to play a game I would suggest checking this site inside and out. I especially recommend the race guides and looking at old forum posts for fun. Get better!
You don’t have to be on this site for long! >D

Welcome CoachO!
Sorry to hear about your accident, I hope you're not in too much pain and make a speedy recovery.
I think watching a few games will be a good way to acclimatise yourself to how things work until you're ready to get stuck in.
There's a wide range of abilities on this site, including some of the very best on the planet. If you do happen to find the first few games a bit testing it could be that you've ended up playing against one of these so don't be too alarmed.
I hope this does hold your interest... It does for a LOT of us! :D

Hello and welcome.

Thx to everyone for responding. I have a PC and hotspot USB tethering with my phone worked fine for watching a game last night and the game and clicking around the site a bit only seemed to burn up .05GB. Hopefully it will work ok for playing games and not burn up much more than .05 GB. I have a couple of doctors appointments today but I was thinking I would watch a couple of games and make my first team after the appointments... Orcs perhaps... Thx again to everyone who responded.
