I also had a SEGA instead of NES, but unlike awambawamb I enjoyed SEGA.

In 1990 at the University of Texas Tech in Lubbock Texas. Sega showed up for a massive college tour of the new Sega 32 bit system. They had a 2 day event on campus with a tournament. I won a free Sega 32!!!! It took 3 months to get it but sure enough it arrived at my dorm room.
I still have it and my twin boys still play on it today every once in a while.
I have it hooked up in their upstairs game room.

Painstate lives in Texas. There they do everything big...including houses.
