Our Tabletop-Club in Vienna
Hey guys!
I am the president of the largest tabletop-club in Austria. Since I am so proud of what we achieved, I have to share with you how our current venue looks like :D
Our clubs name is WOW/Keepers and was founded in 1995. Since then we had several cellars, where we used to play in. 8 years ago we moved to our current location. Short of money they just did what they had to do: put some tables and chairs in there.
Last year we decided to renovate our club, mainly putting new tilings in and create an ambience, which is not close to that of a medieval dungeon.
Currently our club can provide 16 tables of whatever system people want to play. The main days for playing are wednesdays and fridays. Tournaments are held almost every two weeks. We now have also a new giant table for huge historical TT-battles or the new Star Wars Armada. The club sells beverages at a price that is almost the same as in supermarkets. We have a room with a computer and a couch for pre- or afterbattle chat, or just for having a beer with a friend.
Our club is also the centre of the biggest Austrian live BloodBowl-League: BBAA (BloodBowl Association Austria) with about 15-20 coaches every year. The reigning champion is a pretty cool guy too ;)
