I've been on this site for... Well.. Too long. It's been fairly on and off. I'll just be honest, and say that I find this game deeply frustrating. I find most games involving luck frustrating. I'm probably not any more or less lucky than anyone else, I just find it very easy to become jaded with regard to dice.
Anyway, that's beside the point. This is kind of why I avoid blogging in general, I just tend to ramble.
So yeah. The point. On to what I actually wanted to talk about. I've gone off blood bowl again, and not for the usual reasons. I'm tired of cherrypicking, both ways. I'm tired of having to take 'easy' games to recover from harder ones, or just taking 'easy' games because I haven't got the energy, mentally, to cope with dwarves, orcs etc. I'm not saying I'm a saint, I've probably had some pretty suspect games in the past, but equally, particularly in this last run, I think I've taken some games that haven't exactly favoured me. Plus, I've played against dwarves, which is something I literally detest doing and find chronically boring.
How is any of this interesting to anyone else? It probably isn't. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this, but I'm gonna keep going anyway.
So yes, I'm not playing BB at the moment. All of the above reasons have contributed, but the really killer was the advent of [ B]. And please, don't get me wrong, I think [ B] sounds great, and that's why I've stopped playing. [ B] is the answer to all my problems. I can't cherry pick. I can't be cherry picked.
Suddenly, I don't want to play [R] any more. The appeal of [R] has actually completely disappeared. I just want to play [ B], but its not here yet. I'm not being impatient, but I just don't find [R] appealing, so I've packed it in until [ B] makes its triumphant arrival.
I don't know why I wanted to put this out there. Maybe I hoped I was missed...
Ok, lets be realistic! It's more that I just wanted to voice my support for [ B], and say how it really solves the only problems I have with playing BB online at the mo, apart from my jaded views on luck (but thats just a character flaw, and I don't think any new division is gonna fix it!).
So yeah, I'd like to wrap this up with the following statement:
Bring on the [ B], and thank you to Christer for giving me something to look forward to!
That's about all.
