Redraft thing - final death of high TV teams
That's just a personal note, so please consider as it is.
I really didnt get too much into that Redraft mode, but I understood that, basically, higt TV teams are gone forever (or, at least, until a new ruleset).
It was already hard to play Competitive with a bulky team with actual rules, with Redraft there will be no more this problem it seems :D
I'm an old-fashioned Fumbbler, born with old old rules with big big teams, please have mercy ;)

Yes the really big teams will go from Competitive, though I think teams could be quite skilled towards end of two seasons.

Of course there's still League?

I was wondering what the new re-draft rules mean for tournament TV caps. Sure it is still possible to play 15 games and increase TV significantly above 1300k. (For some teams it is easier than for others.) And there are some hertitage teams (is that the right word?), but some day new blood will be missed, no?

But taking the TV brakets of BRAWLS (>1800, 1405-1800, <1400), I think it will be hard to build up teams for the high braket.

I guess time will show all the little cogwheels that need to be adjusted after this major, but IMO still very welcome, change.

Good riddance, it is no joy running into an 80+ game orc team with a 16 game one from the previous BBT season. Now the playing field will level in a couple weeks or months, and the monsters will be gone forever, or stay in their lairs and decompose in quiet.

And so the divide between coaches widens. I find that sad.

I'll try not to take "Good riddance" personally. I didn't play a single game in [C] after all.

If you like a bigger cap, we'll be here:

Or NO seasons, here:

Unfortunately, we have no Box :(

i am a fan of the changes, and the new dynamic it will bring, coaching choices and deadlines and looming redrafts, but it is also important that L will still cater for huge TV teams if thats your thing.

More choice, but 'C' should be, as it now is, as close to rulebook as possible.

I like the changes for many situations, but will miss the last few big teams we still saw in the majors. For me, the majors were a cool gathering of very strong teams. I doubt we'll see that again soon.

We had 'Ranked' for some time to allow for old teams / rules to be played. I do not know how big of a Thing this still is, but may it be an option to either re-use ranked as some kind of [C] without re-draft, or set up another division?

But I guess the same effect could also be achieved with a league group, right? If all the big TV enthusiasts gather in one league group they can still play their games, have their own tournaments etc. The only differences would be that majors would only be played by teams developeD for that and normal C Teams could not join. Right?

I like this idea. [R]anked is kind of dead, I believe? So yes, a league or division, where one can build up and play on would be great. A League environment would be fine for that, but in order to gather as many of us there as possible, it needs to be advertised for.

Maybe someone can explain much better than I can if and why the current ranked Division is needed. Since Christer did implement an migration option to [C] division for former Blackbox (and I think also [R]) teams this may be an option to either re-use the divsion. But I guess there are good reasons (e.g., maintenance wise) to reduce the number of divisions.

So if some 'big TV lover' sets up league with the former ruleset 4 and promotes it, we will see which system will me used more. I guess it was in ancient rome where (some) senators did 'vote with there feet' (pedibus in sententiam ire). Maybe this works for Fumbbl as well.
