If all the coatches were like you, it would be a depressing game. Most of the time you'd have to feel bad after a match either because of dead pixels, your luck or your opponent .

On the other hand, if all coatches were like those two you met at that tournament this game would be 100% fun.

A dog is a living thing, I'd cry the loss of mine (if I had any). A wedding ring is a strong symbol of a link beetween two people. How can you just think to put bloodbowl players on the same line? A bunch of numbers bound to disapear quite fast wich give his owner some power. Why people are getting attached to them and feel sad when loosing them? Because they'd loose a part of the strenght of their team. Because they don't know how to loose in a more general way. Because they take this game too seriously. I don't believe there is a single coatch who would trade his dog or his wedding ring for a bloodbowl player tho. They don't have feelings for their pixels, they are attached to their power that's all. And I can't feel sorry for someone who's feeling sad for that kind of loss.

A quote from Paulhicks:
***did you know, that if the worst thing that happens to you is you roll a bunch of 1's and your computer pixels die then you should consider it a damn good day.

Don't take me wrong, I have nothing against those people. I'm just glad not everyone think like that ... As the two coatches you met at the tournament I don't like hearing "sorry" from my opponent tho.

A last note, I once wrote a post very similar to your entry (on a french site) but one day I just couldn't stand feeling sorry every match and started to wonder myself what was wrong with me and tried a different approach. It was really worthing it.

Regards, Dirty Brian

ps: About my nickname, I don't foul that much (check my stats). But it avoids me most of those sad coatches.

pps: Feel free to quote this message in your "blog", but if you do so please don't shorten it too much.

As i said earlier, they were decent chaps those who believed otherwise than me, doesn't for a second change the fact that i think they're wrong. Perhaps i care to much about my pixels, but i'd bet a lot on that i find my games just as fun a everyone else, and personally i would be inclined to add i enjoy them a bit more ;o)

But thats just one mans oppinion, he could just as well be right.
