Back with Blackbox Blodging B-Girl Bashers
Hi there...

After a long time, I returned to fumbbl and guess, what I have found...
...a blackbox!!!
How nice.

I made a amazon team, named "Dance and Dodge" and played a few matches...
...and I have to say: I have love for this box!

In ranked, I have to admit, I never would have played against 191 TS stronger Chaos Dwarves with my 164 TS zons. I would never have suffered 5 CS in the first 2 turns and I would never have experienced, what a beautiful feeling it is, to win this match.

I think, this is the way Blood Bowl should be played.
Sure, sometimes you will get unfair matches... ...sometimes you will be better then your opponent, but in the end, after 20 matches it should be fair again.

But one thing sucks a bit: There are nearly JUST BASHING TEAMS in the Box...

The seven most played races are: Orcs, Chaos, Khemri, Dwarves, Chaos Dwarves, Undead and Ogres...

I guess, that is because you won´t find much matches with this teams in ranked...

...but don´t the Black Box be a Bash Box!!!
Apply with your Humans, Elves, Skaven... ...whatever!
Looking forward to dodge your players...

C ya,
Lishi

Here's a tip:

Its not sneak hiring if the Box takes Zara into account in its computations.

Heres a tip:

The seven most popular teams include Khemri and Undead.

heh heh heh

here's a tip...

how about you get those stupid zons up to 200+TR and then see how well you fare, once teams actually have some tackle to respond with...

also, i notice you've been fortunate enough to not have played any dorfs yet....

fyi...the box can still be cherrypicked...

@Shadow: That´s okay... ...cause you probably have one match against 200+ TR Dwarves and then 4-5 matches with 160 TR to recover your team. ;-)

And as I said: BRING YOUR ELVES, SKAVEN AND HUMANS to the Box!!!
Instead of whining: Uuuuh, there are just bashy teams in the box, so I enter it with a bashy team too...
...show courage, make the Box to what it is supposed to be: 1/3 bashy, 1/3 "normal", 1/3 agile teams...

Vamps, flings, and skaven are some of the most competitive box teams out there... even if you end up in the bash box I guess you have the last laugh.

in my opinion box is about winning games, not about survival. I dont really even want to build monster teams there, i just want to win the game I'm given there. And actually the bashers arent that tackle heavy, since they usually prepare to meet other bashers.

I suppose one of the reasons I like playing my skaven there is seeing them killed though. Just wish my gobbos could still get games :)

Now if we could get the box system for LRB5 teams :)

Nothing is sweeter than a hard earned victory...

Since I did meet a good variety of races in the box there's nothing to complain I guess.
It would feel wrong if Orcs and Dwarfs would be rare- they aren't just bashy but also very good after all.
Khem however are mostly nice to play: always feels like a real challenge and yet you have good chances to win. Actually having met so many skaven among the way is more regrettable...

However- SillySod is right. The most ridiculous and overpowered teams I saw were none of those seven most played races but stuff like SillySods 152 / 106 Norse Linemen... ;-D

Is there something lamer then complaining about an av7 teams high survivability in box?
