Every time I learn something new about bloodbowl tactics I'll post it here in the blog.
The first thing is playing mentality: Never blame the dice! Always think back, could I have made a different play that lead to a higher chance of success? Most of the time, sources of risk are found in earlier turns, or even in the first few turns of the match.
An example: My playing style with elf can be too risky. Making a strike at the ballhandler sometimes means putting players next to mummies, chaos warriors etc., to remove assists. Regardless on success or failure, the opposition is now free to block 4-5 times in his turn. There is a high risk of this affecting the rest of the game by KO's or casuelties. Fielding 8 players in 2nd half (or the next game!) significantly lowers the value of that early TD!
