Six played and yet to win...
So I'm new to Fumbbl and hadn't played any competitive Blood Bowl for years. I knew I'd be in for a beating to start with and with six games played my record is 0/4/2.
Despite this slow start I'm really enjoying my time here and I feel I'm quickly improving as a player. My defense is OK and my offence is getting better - tonight I made a really good drive down field, caging well and being patient - had I attempted a second dodge (unused dodge skill) with my catcher instead of a risky GFI (no re-rolls) it would have ended with a match tying touchdown!
Although I should be disappointed (believe me I was gutted at the time) I instead feel very optimistic; I'm learning the game and my strategic nous is growing. That first elusive win can't be far off and when it comes it's going to feel well deserved.
I'm really loving playing some regular Blood Bowl against different opponents for the first time in a long time - and as a result of this my love, appreciation and understanding of the game are all growing.

Fumbbl rules (and with it's ease of use and limitless number of opponents, it might just rule the tabletop game too).

See you on the pitch!

I love helping new or struggling FUMBBLers on their way up. PM me with a team link and I'll spec some matches for you and tell you what I see.

You might want to make a new team and follow a tried and tested build.

It's not like your team is useless but there's no reason to handicap yourself on team building when it's the easiest thing to correct.

Godspeed to anyone coming out of Marienburg!

sack the -ag blitzter and the niggled catcher

Yep. Worst mistake new coaches make is getting creative. There's a reason you don't see a lot of orc teams with 4 goblins. Sack all perms that aren't on superstar. I sack the superstars too.

Humans are also not the easiest race to win with...

The Brain has spoken! Hummmmm.

It is not LRB 4 anymore, and team value is totally different, so 15 players is way too many.
Dunno what's optimal for humans, but I guess it's more like 11-12.

agree with roland. your team setup gives you very difficult matches (as a good part of your team value is sitting on the bench whiel your unskilled guys face skilled opponents). probably 12 or 13 is ok at this level. also, sack your injured players (except the injury doesnt matter so much or the player is special - which none of yours is yet or you got any fluffly reason to keep him).

sack the niggled catcher - this is just inviting being outnumbered on a av2 st2 player. also the -ag blitzer. if you dont sack players in time you ll end up with a team full of injuries - also you had the money to replace your positionals (and dont buy lineman nr 16 instead)

Humans are one the most interesting team but quite hard to play too.
Moreover your team build is not competitive.
I would start over but if you want to go on with it sack the -ag blitzer and the niggled catcher (2 catchers are enough).
You can keep the injured lineman for the fluff.
Under 1300 TV 12 players+Apo should be ok.
More than that and you take the risk to meet teams that are much stronger than you in the Box.
Also : welcome and hf :)

Yes they´re absolutely right. Half the effort of winning is making a competetive team. That means to get rid of unnecessary injuries such as av/Niggles on your players. Find the right number of players for that team at that TW - and your style of play. Ie do you fould alot you need more men. Humans need more than, say Orcs etc.
This is an example of what your Humans could face..

Oh and after saying all that welcome and glad to hear you enjoy yourself - as that what´s really matters.

welcome to fumbbl.

All the advice about team design, especially in B, is worth noting.

I would add you might also want to try some games in R division. Quite often people are chattier and offer more coaching tips if you are a newer player. B coaches can be a little 'focused' at times.
