So why did you pick Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders not a UK based charity?

Covid-19 looks like it’s here for the long haul, the NHS are doing an amazing job, particularly given the lack of PPE. In the UK we are very lucky to have such fantastic healthcare professionals, with their help a time is coming when we can return to normal’. I’d definitely encourage you to support them locally.

But Covid-19 is a virus that know no borders. It came from overseas and once the UK finally gets the situation under control it will still be affecting millions around the world. Many countries don’t have access to the healthcare many of us take for granted. If Covid-19 is ever to be completely eliminated it will be thought the effort of organisation like Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders.

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders work in over 40 countries save life (not just from Covid-19) every day. Right now the are preparing to fight Covid-19 in hundreds of different areas all over the globe. Not only saving life but stopping the spread, in short a life saved in Africa is also a virus not re-entering the UK.
