Glasbowl Online :
CREATING AND APPLYING A TEAM

Once you have decided on your setup, generate a new team following the subsequent steps (do not reuse an existing team on FUMBBL):

1. Create a new team using the link on this page and choose your race and team name.

2. On the team page, there is no need to change ‘Progression’ from ‘Standard’ to ‘None’.

3. Buy all of your players, re-rolls, etc. and click ‘submit for approval’.

4. Select the team options tab on your team screen and click on the skill settings tab, select skills that are appropriate for your teams tier. For higher tier teams, choose the “no skill” option for skill slots not used.

5. When ‘Save’ is pressed to confirm your skill choices, there is no pop-up or conformation screen. You can check if your skills have saved correctly by navigating away from the screen and then checking ‘Team Options’ on your team page. You must select all your skills before the start of the tournament and these must not be changed after your team has been submitted.

6. Skill choices should then be listed under the team bio with details of what number player is receiving which skill. Any coaches caught changing skills will be removed from the tournament.

7. Inducement(s) you wish to use should be left out of your team creation process and listed in the team bio. Inducements have to be announced before start of the tournament and may not be changed in-between matches!

e.g.: at the beginning of a tournament match, select only your announced inducements on the inducements screen. You must not select inducements that weren’t announced before the start of the tournament. Any coaches caught changing inducements or selecting inducements they haven’t chosen at the start of the tournament will be removed from the tournament.

8. You should identify your home league at the bottom of your team bio (MKBBL, ABBC, FVBBL, GBL, EBBL, EXILES etc.) This will help to award constructors points at the end of the tournament. If you do not play in Scotland just put "Home league - N/A"

9. Navigate to the tournament FUMBBL page and use the button at the bottom of the page to apply your team. The Tournament organiser will contact you if there are any issues with your team.

*CONCESSIONS

• No concessions are allowed during a match. Penalty may result in exclusion from the tournament and no registration accepted for future events.

• If a coach misses their match on an agreed time without warning, a concession will likely be applied in favour of the coach that was available to play at the agreed time if another appropriate time to play can’t be found.

• If the opponents are unable to schedule a match, the tournament organiser will make a judgement call and decide the winner of the match or a draw may be given.

• If two coaches end up not playing their round within the scheduled week without informing the tournament organiser a concession will be given to both coaches.

OTHER RULES

• Please ensure that you complete your games. Contact your opponent via FUMBBL PM or using the Team Scotland Discord as soon as the round is drawn and organise a time to play.

• Games should be organised no later than the Wednesday each week (You have the full week to play, however, your game time should be agreed with your opposition coach by end of Wednesday of each week)

• In the event where there has been no contact from your opponent after asking for availability by the end of Wednesday, you should contact the tournament organiser ASAP on the Thursday (ASAP not 11pm at night on Thursday). The tournament admin will then contact the opponent. If there is still no contact by 9.00pm on the Friday of the game week the game will be forfeited in favour of the coach who attempted to arrange the game.

• If agreeing a time is proving difficult, contact the tournament organiser and add in your opponent.

• Games will be forfeited promptly to allow new rounds to progress

• If irregular use of Timeout with direct influence on the score occurs, a concession may be applied.

FAIRPLAY

• Be cordial on the chat and pm towards your opponent and audience. Any use of offensive language towards your opponent regarding racial, political or religious content might result in exclusion from further Glasbowl events

• All efforts should be made by both coaches when agreeing a match to ensure that it doesn’t hold up subsequent draws.

• We recommend avoiding Timeouts. However, if you use it, you are not allowed to do it without a first “transgression” and consequent first warning on the chat.
e.g. my opponent exceeds the time one turn, I warn them that I’ll timeout next time.

Coaches should apply common sense on using timeouts, your opponent going 30 seconds over on a big turn is not a valid reason to timeout.
You can only use a timeout if the other opponent is playing their turn, if they give an indication that they need 5 minutes or similar to deal with a real life event then they can’t be timed out for this.

TEAM SCOTLAND ONLINE DISCORD

You can find a link to the Team Scotland discord page below. We will be using this to arrange matches and set up voice calls during the event. It is strongly suggested that you join and use voice chat where possible as it increases the social aspect of the game that we’re not getting while there are no in person tournaments.
