That's right, here in America we didn't invent the reality TV show, we just took it waaaay too far. Two "tribes" of eight teams will be formed initially by the tourney director and start off by competing against the members of the oppossing tribe in a series of pre-arranged "immunity challenges". The tribe that collectively scores the highest average points (see below) will win "immunity" the other tribe will go to tribal council and vote off one of their own.
Private messages, shady deals, alliances and broken agreements are all encouraged. To avoid any possibility of bias (at least by tourney staff), the tournament director (banana_fish900) will not have a team entered at all.
Note that the sequence and point scoring for these matches will vary from time to time. The general sequence will be as follows:

Each tribe receives a "teaser" of the upcomming immunity challenge.

Tribes will decide on a strategy, which may involve dropping teams from the competition to equalize the numbers. (note you can't "sit out" for two challenges in a row).

The full rules for the challenge are disclosed, team matchups are decided upon and games are played.

The tribe with the fewest points has to "vote off" one of their members.

Votes are done via pm to the tourney director, you should include the name of your tribe, the name of the coach you want to vote off and a reason (while your name/vote will be kept private, your reasons will be used in the fluff thread).

Partway through the tournament, there will be a merger (and there may be wacky tribe mix-ups as well!), after the merger individual teams will play for themselves. The last seven teams to get voted out will be the "jury", they will vote among the final two teams to select the "sole survivor."
If one tribe has more teams than the other, it will have to withhold teams from that round. The same team cannot sit out twice in a row.
Partway through, a merger will be announced and then teams will compete in randomly assigned one-off matches for individual immunity. Those who do not win immunity may be voted out, but the last seven to be voted off will form a jury. When we're down to three teams, a round-robin tournament will take place with the highest scoring team declared the winner, and able to choose who they will go up against the jury with. The jury will decide who of the last two remaining teams deserves the title "sole survivor." To help them make their decision, each jury member will be allows to ask each final contestant one question in the group discussion thread.
Points will vary according to the immunity challenge, but some sample challenges might include:
Score heavy:
TD - 3 pts
CAs - 1pts (of any flavor)
Win - 5 pts
Tie - 1 pts
Loss - 0 pts
Bash heavy:
TD - 1pts
CAs - 3 pts (of any flavor)
Win - 5 pts
Tie - 1 pts
Loss - 0 pts
Capture the team captain:
Coach designates one of their players as "team captain"
TD - 2 pts
CAs - 2 pts (of any flavor)
CAs on team captain - 20 pts
This is a division U tournament, for brand-new LRB race teams. Only two teams of each race are permitted entry, first come first serve.
Teams will have about one week to complete their assigned immunity challenge match and then one week to cast their votes (the extra time is to allow for the shady deals mentioned above).
