OBBA - A League for Football Supporters
The Origins of OBBA
Once, there was a Chewie.
And the Chewie said "Let there be light."
And there was light.
And then the Chewie said "Let there be sound."
And there was sound.
And then the Chewie said "Let there be Rock!"
But at this point Sera smacked him on the head with a pillow and said "Get the fook on with making the League, you Northern git".
And there was OBBA.
Bored with the Leagues on fumbbl being all GRIDIRON based in terms of points structure, he (along with a Swedish school teacher who mysteriously vanished about 3 weeks into the league) resolved to ensure proper representation of the bestest scoring system in_the_world - ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL!
Together with forum trolls SeraphimRed (afterward referred to as Sera, due to his stupid coach handle) and Russo (usually referred to in words not suitable for a family website) the league was established as the premier destination for lovers of football (and Rugby, for Purplegoo was a member for a while).
Later, when Chewie and Sera rediscovered womenfolk and all the pleasures that they offer (don't tell Russo what they are; he suffers enough) the league was left without its two most important staff members.
This is, apparently, how pythrr snuck in and took over, and the rest is all monkey nut shaped madness, but the league is still going strong, so who cares? ;)

Rules
[1] Teams should be Football/Soccer themed
[2] Games usually take place Euro/UK evening time.(except for MLS/USL, with are NA TZed).
[3] 10 day rounds, scheduled league structure
[4] No more than 4 teams of any one race
[5] No being a dick!
[6] No resisting the Russo
[7] Tie breaker rule changed to Football League compliance (TD +/->TD for> Cas +/-> Cas for> head to head> coin toss).
[8] Top 3 teams get promoted, bottom 3 get relegated.
[9] You may use sponges, potions, snotling hunters, or whatever on your OBBA teams. Games may be played on the Birthday IF both coaches agree. We like these things.
[10] Optional rules in use in OBBA/MLS:
Piling on Nerf (Piling On does not stack with other skills that modify armour or injury rolls.)
Stunty Buff (Right Stuff prevents the Tackle skill when blocked.)
Fouling Buff: (+1 to AV roll when fouling player is not interfered with (I guess this means not in a TZ))

After a long and distinguished carrer at Bristol Reavers, The Duke signed on a free transfer to Bath City Bladuds where he only played 11 games, picking up just 1 MVP. Eventually he was released (in a permanent sort of way) from Bath City Bladuds and ended his career at CA Bloca Juniors, where he was involved in a further 13 games until he career was finally (finally, finally) brought to a close by the Houston Dynamo Rats. |

John Barnes served the Wotfud Hornhits from their inception in season 10 through to season 25 where, following a second -ma, he joined the coaching staff. Over his 155 matches (missing only 4 through serious injury) he gained 197 SPP, dishing out 800 blocks, making 2 casualty hat tricks, one against the Undead Tranmare Rovers and the other (4 cas's) vs the Necromantic Nuts n' Bolts. His skills were nothing special, with just Guard, Mighty Blow, Piling On, Dauntless, Fend and Grab but his art was simply being reliable and surviving. The fans will long remember him. |
| Roger the Elf-Goat | Pestigor of Bath City Bladuds (185 spp). Skill rolls: Claw, Mighty Blow, +AG, Piling On, Block, Frenzy. Played for 9 seasons as part of the Bath City Bladuds lineup that killed The Duke and ended Bristol Reavers domination of OBBA. He played 72 games over 9 seasons, killing 7 opponents, scoring 21 touchdowns and gaining 4 cas-trick awards and a genocidal maniac award. Sadly died tripping over his own shoelaces in the very next game against the Reavers. Not a fitting end for such a crowd favourite. |

Legendary Teams
Legendary teams have won at least three Prem titles, or played at least 100 games, or did something other legendary, or are voted in at the end of the season. How to actually get on the list remains a mystery. It has something to do with bribing George.
Oval Balls FTW | High Elf team coached by Purplegoo (71 games, 3 Premiership Titles). The egg-chasers entered OBBA to "show you lot how it is done", and went on to establish a dominance that led to 3 Premiership Titles over 5 glorious years (Season 4, 5, and 8). During their 3 Title-winning seasons, few teams could live with them. Their one regret must have been never to have won a cup, but I don't think Purplegoo really held with "that end of season nonsense." |
Bristol Reavers | Orc team coached by Pythrr (200+ games, 4 Premiership Titles). Led by their famous player The Duke, these Orcs won 4 premiership titles. As the team is still active, more titles might follow... |
Fulham Titans | Dwarf team coached by DukeTyrion (35 games, 1 Premiership Title, 1 League One Title, 1 Conference Title, 1 League Cup). In their first season the Titans won the Conference, and the League Cup, and were double promoted. In their Second Season they won League One, and were again double promoted. In their Third Season they Won the Premiership. They bowed out at the top, having won every league they took part in having gone from Rookies to Premier Champions in 3 seasons. |
