The Tournaments for only the STRONG and WILLPOWERY.

Rules of the Goon Lightning League

1.)There shall be two Groups of four to six teams each in the Tournament.

2.)The Groups shall be Europe and US. If you don't live in either, sorry but you will have to pick the more suitable one and make do or just give up like a weakie. Are you a weakie? I didn't think so.

3.)The spots in the Groups shall be had on a first come, first serve basis. Strong people are quick. You are welcome to line up as spares if you are too late. It is necessary to either post your application time and team name or PM me to be sure in the right order of things.

4.)When you apply to the league, your team's bio must state which Regional Group you identify with. Your precious creation will be discarded if this info is not readily available.

5.)The winners of each Group shall then meet in a vicious finale for the Grand Trophy. This means the two best teams in a Group go to a four-team Playoff (Semi finals + Grand Finale).

6.)Specific timetable and rules will be written up in the Season description. Punishment for failing to comply shall be swift and ineffable.

7.)The Tournaments WILL finish as planned. If necessary, Concessions will be used. Some things which might turn a concession in your favour:
First and foremost, which one has tried harder to make the match take place (and has the posts to prove it).
Which one has insulted the other's team and/or their coaching skills more terribly. Strong people use strong words. (Note that you should not hold grudges and you should not make your hatred known to the innocent FUMBBL public)
Which one of you has a more involved team biography, logo, descriptions or general theme. A strong team is united in a theme.
My personal whimsy.

8.) Each Season of the Lightning League shall have a race theme.

9.) I intend to stick to these rules with an iron fist. If too many of you fail to live up to the commitment you make by applying to this Tournament, the Tournament will be cancelled.

10.) Each Season has a minimum FF rule.

11.) I reserve the right to penalize you with arbitrary numbers of Tourney points or if that does not help do something nastier up to and including replacing you.

-->The Races for Season Two - Season "Maximum Killosity" are... complicated.

Your team must consist of players with AV7 or less. This means Skaven are allowed but no Storm Vermins or Rat Ogres. Pro Elves are allowed but no Blitzers, Vamps are allowed but.. no Vamps, and so on.

You are NOT allowed to:
*Have an Apothecary
*Buy any players after the Season has started
*Be Eshin Adepts because.
*Buy more Rerolls after the Season has started
*Hire Freebooters
*Hire Wizards

You ARE allowed to:
*Hire Stars if they have AV 7 or less
*Have any number of DPs, Bombers, Chainsaws and whatever
*Have a minimum of 1 FF
*Have Regeneration
*Buy Assistant Coaches and Cheerleaders

Fresh, unmolested teams. This is an Iron Man round, meaning what you buy on your rookie team, you will have to make do with until the end. If you don't have an AV7 star available and don't want Coaches/Cheerleaders you don't have any use for money. None at all.

You will receive 6 points per win, 3 points per tie, one point per Touchdown scored and one point per two casualties inflicted. Maximum 10 points per team per game. Top two of each Group shall advance to Semifinals.

The Groups will be a Round Robin. You will have one week to play two games. I won't start twisting your arms mid-week but come Monday the pain is on. The first pair to finish all their games will receive 2 points each for being awesome.

You will receive one point for a Naming Theme + Bio and one point for a Unique Logo at the start of the Season (late updaters are ignored). Artistically challenged people are allowed to scribble in MSPaint.

If you finish all the games in the Round Robin without receiving any SIs or RIPs you will be disqualified (also known as the anti-Caralad rule)

I suggest you try to spread the races about within groups. The options are pretty wide starting from Undeads (Four Ghouls, twelve Skellies and many rerolls) through Elves, AG3 Humanlikes to Goblin Cheaters and other stunties.

These rules are going to be posted in the thread shortly for discussion and suggestions. Nothing is final yet. This Tournament is scheduled to set off on ??.??.???? at ??:?? GMT.

When the rules are finalized, spots in the tourney will be available first come, first serve. Don't apply until the rules are final. If you have been accepted once, your spot is secure so until the Season actually begins you may change your race/setup.<!--
