Drafted Players

Got guts? Got talent? Want to put your teams to the test?
Join BB7s SMACKs for weekly or instant 8 team KO tourneys!

Format

SMACKs are 8 team KO tourneys with a one week deadline per round.
For every 8 teams signed up a SMACK brackets will be formed (either scheduled or instant - see below).

Two or more SMACK brackets within one TV category (see below) can be launched at the same time and coaches can have teams competing in more than one bracket at a time.

No drafting occurs as long as a team remains in a SMACK!

Instant SMACKs
Instant SMACKs can kick off whenever enough coaches to start a bracket agree on a TV category and a staff member is available (and able) to set up a SMACK tournament.

The first two rounds have to be played immediately!

Scheduled SMACKs
Scheduled SMACKs kick of every wednesday after 20:00 bbtime as soon as a staff member is available (usually within two hours). Applications are open all week long. Free spots available for last minute applications may be announced during the draw. Teams have to re-apply for next weeks draw if they didn't get in (they'll be kicked from the group after the draw and can re-apply immediately).

TV Categories
Semi-Pro: TV 1000+
Tavern: TV 800-990
Street: TV 600-790
Camp: TV 0-590*
*Non-rookie teams are allowed in camp SMACKs.

Prizes?
The prizes for winning BB7 SMACKs are bragging rights and a possible place in a SMACK Invitational (see below).

Rules

1. Your team must be a member of Blood Bowl Sevens group to be accepted.

2. All the teams are subject to the rules on the BB7s group page.

3. However, drafting is postponed while a team is participating in a SMACK, so players will get drafted (and have to be retired) right after the team has been knocked out or won the SMACK.

4. To sign up for a SMACK apply your team to this group page. Your team's TV at the time of the draw (including missing players' TV share, excluding subs) will determine the TV category they'll play in. Brackets within one category will be filled by time of application.

Any team(s) remaining after all possible SMACK brackets have been set up will be kicked and can apply again for the next week's draw.

5. A coach may not have more than one team in each SMACK bracket. A coach can however apply as many teams as he wants each week, but will only be allowed one team in each bracket. Time of application determines which team of a single coach enters a SMACK if multiple teams are available.

6. The deadlines for applications are Wednesdays at 20:00 bbtime. The same deadline applies for the matches.

7. For scheduling games we encourage people to use PMs and/or the scheduler on the site.

If your game cannot be played before the deadline be sure to inform the appropriate tournament staff member. Each coach is individually responsible for contacting the tournament staff member. Make sure to explain the situation so the tournament staff member knows for which team to forfeit. Otherwise the match will be forfeited randomly.

8. As with all BB7s leagues/tourneys this is a fun and easygoing gaming environment, if you lack social skills, then this maybe not the tourneys for you. It is however meant to be a competitive ground for BB7s teams so don't sign up either if you can't take a beating! ;-)

SMACK Invitational

Coming to a Stadium near you!
A tournament for champions. Sponsored by the
undisputed champion of recreational gaming, the House
of Golden Dice.

3 times this year champions are invited to test their
skills against other champions in a single
elimination tournament. The winning team will
recieve the right to hoist the silver cup of golden
dice.

Outstanding players on the winning side are also
awarded the medal of the golden dice. This medal
always comes with a lucrative sponsorship deal with
the House of Golden Dice which allows the winner to
free beverages in the lounge and full access to world
famous all-you-can-eat Golden Dice buffet.

Over the course of the year (2012) there will be 3 Smack seasons each ending with a Smack Invitational. The Invitationals will be held after each Mini-league over the year and the first smack season thus runs from January to April. Winning Smacks will earn your team a chance to participate in the Smack Invitational.

Invitations
By the end of each smack season invites will be sent out to the teams that have won most SMACKs during that season.

TV differences at the time of these invites will decide ties between teams that have won the same number of SMACKs.

Each coach will be offered a place for one team only - the one with most SMACKs won (again, TV at time of invites will decide ties).

The teams who are offered a place will then have a deadline for responding. Should they choose not to accept the invitation or don't respond in time, the invitation will be pasted on to the next team on the list.

Format
Smack Invitationals are 8 team KO tournaments with no TV limit. Please note that winners from all TV brackets are invited into the same Invitational.

Prize
Winning a Smack Invitational will grant 3 of your team's players with most SPPs a MVP waiver (meaning player will be drafted at 5 MVPs rather than the usual 4).
